you can't change the minds of people who hold beliefs. russ is fine to some people because he'll always be fine-- it's dogma. it doesn't matter that he's having one of the least efficient seasons for a high usage player of all time and last playoffs he was shut down by ricky rubio. he's fine because that's what someone chooses to believe. no amount of evidence can change that for these people, so it's not worth it to even talk about.

conversely, if russ went ballistic over the course of the next two months many of the people who choose to use reason instead of belief would be moved by such a change in performance.

you guys talk like he's lost a step and he clearly has not, his shot has disappeared for whatever reason since he returned but he has also been fine and toned down the three point shooting for the last couple of weeks as well

I think this years team will end a lot better than last years team. The loss of Roberson last year was just something that team couldn’t get over, Melo was awful on defense which hurt the entire team.

Well, Russ is fine... people whining that the Thunder didn't trade their abundance of assets for a high impact player is hilarious... and the Thunder are fine without any moves...

it is ultimately up to Russ and PG playing efficient basketball in the playoffs to dictate if the team advances or not

Trading a guy like Abrines who is an expiring or a 2rp for a Garett Temple type player could have been a really big deal for a team that has no bench.

so because you want them to make that move, means that they have to accept that move? or because you think garrett temple is good fit means they think he's great too, and worth giving up Abrines for him?

The first question is pointless for me to answer. Of course they don’t have to take my suggestion or ideas. That doesn’t mean any decision they make is infallible.

For the second sort, Yes I think a guy like Garrett temple is worth giving up a guy that has been banished from the team and makes no contribution whatsoever.
