I'm not disagreeing it was a petulant response, but this strikes me as a galactic-level reach.

You don't think the way a player conducts himself on the court might also be reflected off the court and vice a versa? So if you are flamboyant off the floor mightn't you also be flamboyant on the floor? Seems not only plausible but entirely likely to me.

Maybe? But Duncan was a massive outlier. A lot of NBA guys are into fashion to a greater or lesser extent.

I think you guys might be slightly missing the point. Anyone can prefer to dress nice. But there is only one self styled "Fashion King" publishing books about his style. It says a lot about Westbrook and what he values and how he wants to conduct himself.

Roberson us just as into fashion as Russ. He just doesnt have a book. Chris Paul does funny commercials. Lebron is literally endorsing everything. Jordan did a movie mid career. I could continue this but it feels like a big reach.

Has the fanbase turned on Russ after 10 bad games? Because hes been bad but not like people seem to be acting.

Come on. Have some perspective. I'm really pissed at him but Westbrook has always been a exemplary professional. He can make mistakes and I don't know what he's doing right now, but all teammates used to say how crazy it was to see him training all the time. Dude is a hard worker.

The frustration with Westbrook has to do with the implications of what it means moving forward for this franchise. We went all in on hoping to keep George and if he walks, were in big trouble.

He was expected to walk the whole time.

This team needs some leadership. Let's bring back Perk and D-Fish.

Agree but adding Melo (and Patterson) gave us some hopes about going to WCF and have a shot to resign him.

Raymond Felton is balling. Grant is improving. Singler is not playing...We only need Westbrook to play like he used to (and PG13 as well)

If we can't find a good addition for the 15th spot, I would seriously bring back Perk.

By most fans, yes. Not by Presti.

Not so sure about this. But I believe he has some hopes and want at least some sign & trade.

It was reported that Presti viewed the trade as a year long recruiting effort.

Has he? Has he really? He's old enough at this point that he shouldn't be doing stuff like throwing little Tantrums like he did last night when he went on the two crazy drives to the hoop to try and get the ref to blow whistle for him after he didn't get the foul call at midcourt and then laid on the floor like a fool for a good 30 seconds and we had to call timeout just so he could try and prove his point. Stuff like that it hurts the team. And he's old enough to know better and he's the franchise Cornerstone at this point and I think it's okay to expect more of him.

You know last year was different, we could just enjoy the spectacle that was the season of Westbrook last year cuz we knew we weren't actually going to win anything of any significance. This year we theoretically have a good enough roster we could at least make the Conference Finals but we can only do that if these guys play up to their potential and it's going to be really sad if they don't and if they waste what otherwise could be a special season here.

I don't get the world is falling stuff every time we lose a game. I'd get it if we were playing like the Cavs who have been losing against bad teams & needed Bron to go full on god mode to beat a team they still gave up what 122 points to.

We're 9 games in with a team that is completly different from last season & their so far doing what they should be doing until they all figure this roster out. Their rolling bad teams & keeping it close against good teams. They'll figure it out.

The bench is keeping it close against 'good' teams, not our main guys. Russ-George-Melo has been outscored by almost 17 points per 100 possessions in those losses. Meanwhile the bench outscored the opponent by 40 points per 100 possessions.

Without the bench playing that well, we'd have gotten a good smacking in every single one of those games.

Good thing the bench is part of the team then & it's not just those 3 guys. Which again even with those numbers it's 9 games in, they'll figure each other out & it'll get better :meditate:
