Regarding Westbrook, the only hope I still have is that he REALLY played well and smart against the Warriors. Last year he wanted to beat them so bad that he was only making bad decisions and played poorly. So, can he step up against great teams comes playoff time? (if we get to the playoffs :(). I still believe he can...

So you agree its entirely illogical then. In that case were on the same page. Hence what I would call salty.

That said the Dubs fans are just weird about it bit I assume that's from the Durant stuff.

i just don't find it particularly offensive and i'm not sure why you do. would any fanbase not be bragging in houston's position?

They should brag about their actual team success. Not being salty because Harden lost MVP last year.

Becuase its awful logic? If it was on this board you'd call it out for the **** it is. But its not so youre not and saying oh they're fans. When I'd it was happening on this forum you'd call it.

Call it down the line both ways. If you want to let bad logic slide elsewhere let sleestak go here about Roberson and Kanter.

But outside of the triple double average/triple double record and game winners, Westbrook was ahead Harden in almost every stats category (which wasn't the case for D.Rose)

i don't think the logic is bad if the original premise is 'harden was better last year because wins'.

So you don't think its bad now because the original logic was bad. That's still bad. Using back to justify bad actually.

i honestly don't begrudge rockets fans too much for preferring harden over westbrook last year. i wouldn't. i don't think it's objectively supported by any evidence. but the wins thing is an nba fan mvp vote trope so meh. you're asking a lot from a fanbase, here.

I'm actually asking exactly what you ask of those on this forum every day.

And it was supported by most data last year. To a point where as said before there was a 4 player gap in player of the year voting on this forum. With may be 2 OKC fans voting total.

the actual mvp vote was close enough that i don't begrudge the rockets' fans take too much. they're wrong, of course. but it's not outlandish. and certainly if you believe harden was better last year, this year is like one hundred christmases at once.

But again we circle back. Its using **** logic to give more **** logic. Which is the exactn thing you would rail on someone for here.

Who cares? Its over and done with. Russell was the MVP. In fact, they beat the Rockets in the playoffs when he was on the floor. They lost when he came off. They have no leg to stand on, especially considering Hardens crapesque performance against the Spurs. Rockets fans have literally no leg to stand on here. Now, if he wins this year, it is what it is. Trying to retroactively award it to Harden, is funny and irrational.

For an award that a lot of people last year claimed was irrelevant, there sure are a lot of people who still care about it.

Also do suffering they're actively admitting to being salty I'm not sure there's an argument to make that they're my being salty lol.

It's funny, because last year all we heard was that winning games was the only thing that mattered. Yet, here we are.

Yep.

Just an aside but I'm just trying not to engage them. Let it be. When they lose in 5 to GSW it all ends the same. Also would rather not cause a fuss anywhere.

I have literally never seen Melo miss so many wide open shots. These last couple of games he has missed a number of just wide open shots. Last night was the worst but he has been just missing wide open shots. Usually when he goes through offensive struggles it is because he is forcing shots over multiple defenders, playing hero ball or full on chuck from any place. For the most part those were all good shots and he missed a ton of wide open shots. You can like or hate him but he usually doesn't miss that many open shots.

Never really cared much about individual awards. It’s just icing on the cake and I prefer to scrape the icing off most of the time.

What kind of weirdo are you ?!?!?!

I freeze cake and eat the icing last as a sugary delicious ending.

Cream cheese icing? Yes. The other stuff tastes like cancer causing wax.
