Dallas’ game plan against us is throw as many fresh bigs at us as humanly possible, lol. That’s their strength and they are utilizing it to the fullest extent. It’s why we struggle against Dallas and it highlights are main weakness — shooting.

As I’m writing this, these are the rebounding #s

o-boards

DAL - 6
OKC - 1

d-boards

DAL - 14
OKC - 8

31 points allowed in 8 minutes since Barea checked in.

the mavs are one of the most egregious teams with westbrook defense, they play as far off as anybody and basically force him into jump shots or to give the ball up. he lacks the burst to beat this consistently now and DAJ is decent enough at the rim to discourage. it's just so odd watching him feebly acquiesce to the defense like this.

The longer this goes on with russ’ constantly being short on his shot points to the inevitable.

Are we seriously playing a Westbrook Schröder Felton lineup

Weird that we haven’t seen Ferguson. Is Ferguson sick too? I must have missed something...

it's made easier due to us having no shooters anyone respects, too, except paul george. but it's pretty clear that russ is a step slower and teams are even less concerned about his jumper especially with how hesitant he has appeared to shoot it at times.

No but Chris Fisher just said Westbrook is “making a living on the midrange”. He’s now 2-7.

Excellent defense by Doncic on Westbrook’s 3 right before halftime. /S

Dallas is just doing what teams will do in the playoffs but they are able to do it better because they have a slew of mobile-enough bigs.

Sag off Westbrook, Grant, and Ferguson and pack the paint.

I’m sorry but I get tired of feeling like in order to win we have to overcome the play and shot selection of our $35 million superstar. It gets so frustrating.

the reaction of fisher and cage on the broadcast to westbrook's struggles is hilarious at times. they just don't even comment. he'll airball a layup or jump shot and the next thing our of fisher's mouth is "dallas gets the ball back down 3" or whatever. it's so awkward.

They just don’t want to comment because it’s sad.

I’m so confused about what we should be doing with Westbrook off-ball.

Like... should we be passing Westbrook the ball when he’s open for 3 or not? Should it be a last resort kind of thing?

Maybe don't use him as a floor spacer to begin with. Let him run around slashing and setting screens.

Russ gambling for the steal and misses. Leaves his man wide open for the three. Then goes down and leaves a jumper short. Then gets screened a goes up another three.*sigh*
