Huge groan from me tomorrow if we pick one of those dudes at 12

How did you feel about Poku at 17 or Mann at 18? I feel like if you get a guy you like at 2. 12 is all bonus. Even if the guy at 12 is their 9 th man on the next playoff team it’s better that Prichard with the Celtics.

Agbaji can play in the league today and can space the floor for Shai.

Williams would create a pretty big wall to form with Chet.

If Dieng can shoot it he can be special. This is a shoot for the stars. If it don’t hit nbd - the Thunder have to take these swings and they will miss on most. If Chet, Giddey and Shai are the future starters and Dieng developed a shot they are just the ‘23 pick away from building their starting lineup for years to come.

Banchero is favored to go #1.

Chet at 2 (otherwise Smith) . If we don't get Smith I hope for AJ Griffin at 12 (good shooter, what we need so much)

If we can trade down, my hope is still Griffin, Sharpe or with some luck (Murray or Mathurin)

For #2- If Orlando takes smith, we take Chet. If Orlando takes Chet, we take Banchero.

For #12- if we stay put Sochan is who Presti wants. If he’s not there, I could see Eason,Dieng or sharpe. I think it’s highly unlikely we end up at 4 to get Ivey.

Surprise pick for me is Dyson Daniels. Disappointing pick at 12 would be Griffin.

Orlando wanted Jabari...if OKC and Houston are fighting to get Banchero at 1, I'm pissed (giving up assets + picking Banchero)

The way I look at it, even if we suck next year we might not be this high in the draft again. Maybe next year pick 5 is better than 1-3 at the top of this draft. However if Presti sees a one player as head and shoulders above the other 2, go get him. No one cares about assets if we get the best player in this draft. Also, this is the last day for smokescreens.

I know strongly believe Banchero is going #1 but I have no idea which team is picking him.

I do agree that it makes sense to move up assets to get the guy you want and next year could be totally different...we might end up with pick 8 or 9 and even if we get a pick between 4 and 7, it's gonna be way more difficult/impossible to move up with guys like Victor and Henderson. Just hope we can still draft two guys at the lottery tonight :)

oh well, it's a great day to be a Thunder fan so we should enjoy it.

I'll say Chet 2. Griffin at 12 (copying from Givony here but this makes sense as a swing for the fences type pick in late lotto), 34 Jake Laravia.

Even though I'm nervous about Chet's frame as I said above, it is hard not to be excited when you watch the highlights. Couple that with the fact Draft people have been talking about this guy for the last 2-3 years as a can't miss type prospect. Seems good.

glad u listened to Thunderbolt advise

Seriously speaking, I'm nervous about any of Chet/Jabari/Banchero becoming a bust or a meh player. This isn't a great draft but we still have a decent shot to get a future very good NBA player (hope all star player).

Felt resolved about Poku because I knew the pick ahead of time. Mann I really liked.

Agbaji is smoke and mirrors. He had an outlier senior year shooting and isnt that great at anything else.

Williams would warrant the smallest of my giant groans but I would be disappointed in that pick after months of teasing someone with higher upside.

I've stated every thought and piece of intel I have on Dieng on this board so theres no reason for me to re-hash it. Hes not a prospect for me.

A known medical condition seems like the only reason to not take the risk.

I'm trusting Woj with this one. When he does report on OKC he seems to be accurate.

Same. Maybe I overestimate Presti but I think he and Woj have a strong bond and Woj wouldn't leak anything without his consent.
Woj didn't say anything about OKC trying to move up before the 2021 draft but he certainly knew it, also never mentioned OKC in some move up possibilities in this draft and I doubt OKC isn't trying.

I also think Woj wouldn't report this if he thinks the draft from 4 to late lottery would be boring.

Chet & Jalen Williams

Thunder trade #12 for future picks but gets another FRP later in the draft and takes Williams from Santa Clara.
