Bazley just seems like a really fun dude.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

It’s hard to not let my inner fan girl wonder what this team could be like if Dre, CP3, and Gallo are healthy and Shai and Ferguson take a big step forward.

Agreed. However he isn’t a goofball. He seems to have good maturity for his age. I see why the thunder would like his character.

Also, the bench is still

You are conveniently ignoring that Abdel Nadar is Steph Curry lite. Nerlens and Burton said so.

Am already getting pumped to see a team with a snowball's chance in hell of being a decent three point shooting team.

I'm beginning to wonder if this forum is going to survive without Russ.

You weren't here back when we had like four people total who posted were you?

FOrum will definitely survive. We just need actual basketball to talk about.

It is boring right now. We can't talk about how PG is out until November and Russ still isn't ready for camp from off-season knee surgery. We can't debate how PG will return from his shoulder surgeries when he does get back. We can't complain about another failed Presti off-season with a top 5 payroll and team that will max out with 2 playoff wins, but might miss the playoffs.

Once the team actually starts playing the board will pick up again. If people didn't expect Gallinari and CP3 to get traded there would be a lot more discussion about how the team will look this year.

new rumors about Adams. Been a while...

Well I agree that pick/young player and cap relief is a bit too much. A young and a pick would do it

I wouldn't wait too much if I was Presti. Adams sucked in the end of regular season and during the playoffs but he still had a career year. Presti is clearly overrating him because he's a fan favorite.

Yeah we're still in the dog days of the offseason. It'll pick up in a bit.

Also, side note: working with Howard Mass to find a co-moderator to help monitor things, as I'm around less and less these days. I still check in and lurk but having someone more active to train up would help a lot. Some of you may get a tap on the shoulder.

The relevant article:

Read on Twitter

Money quotes:

Sources told Heavy.com that the Thunder are seeking a draft pick, a young player and salary relief for Adams.

“They set the price too high,” one league executive said. “That’s what you’d expect and maybe it will drop as the year goes on. It’s tough to take on his contract (two years, $53 million remaining) and give up picks and players. Most teams are pretty well set at the center spot now, you have a big guy and you have your small lineup. You can’t just take on a contract like that. There isn’t a big number of teams who could take him.”

If there is a team that is a favorite to move for Adams, sources said, it would be Sacramento. The Kings had interest in Adams before free agency began and discussed a potential deal with the Thunder. The talks did not get very far, however. Oklahoma City had eyed one of Sacramento’s young shooting guards, Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Sacramento also has forward Harry Giles, who could blossom with more playing time.

notes they like Dedmon now though

The Mavericks have been linked to Adams, too, but a deal never gained traction there. The Mavs don’t have the young assets the Thunder want and have already dealt away their 2021 and 2023 first-round picks, meaning they can’t trade a first-rounder until 2025.

The Celtics, too, were connected to Adams in trade rumors, but Adams’ salary makes him an unlikely fit. Boston likely would have to build a deal around Gordon Hayward for Adams and neither side has much interest in that. Interest from the Spurs, another team linked to Adams, has been tepid, too.

Click through to the article anyway, it's good and Deveney is good people who could use the metrics.

I have a hard time believing that Boston will be content with kanter. Maybe they can find someone else besides Adams but that trade makes sense from both sides.
