And don't forget the impact of Isaiah Joe. Very nice addition and much better then T.Mann.

I was worried about Josh. It felt like not having him run the show was going to play away from his strengths enough to extremely devalue his impact. Really impressed with his ability to be a secondary connector and get into the rhythm of running the team when shai is out. Obviously his improved shooting is the biggest factor.
Jalen is going to make an all-star team.
Chet’s skill set is going to be so interesting mixed with shai, giddey, and Jalen. And if Poku or dieng pan out, holy smokes is that ever going to be a fun squad to watch.
I totally agree. I see his ceiling as a lower tier all star that is the kind of player that every team wishes they had.
Best part is that he should be able to play from PG to small ball 4 in the short term and if the game progress the way it is right now . He will still be able to play small ball 5.

Next 10 games:
Mavs
Heat
Philly
Bulls
Nets
Pacers
Kings
Denver
Hawks
Cavs
I think this stretch determines whether the tank starts back up or if they go full speed ahead.

Looks like this is one of the games Wiggins is allowed to play in.

Seems like he's always making the right decisions.

Anytime he plays that’s not garbage time is a win in my opinion.
When the roster, role and minutes are more defined next season , hope he’s still getting playing time .
He just know how to play .
In other news Bazely have to be let go. Let him earn a contract / playing time elsewhere .

I don't mind winning games but I'm pissed teams are resting their best players against us.

Dallas should know that when they rest Luka they shouldn't count on beating many teams. Also, we don't totally suck.

Re: OKC Thunder 2022-23 Regular Season Discussion
I understand the developmental benefit of having a big rotation. I think it has been part of the plan to not be overly competitive while getting young guys experience. But I think the rotation should be shortened to an 9 after all star break and it should include Isaiah joe and Wiggins. Start defining roles more (no more dort being top two in attempts). See what this team is actually made of when trying to compete. If a core of shai, giddey, and Jalen can get into the playoffs, it’s beneficial to their development to get them there. They’re too good to tank for a top 2 pick, and if that’s the case, they should invest in getting playoff experience over moving their pick down from 15 to 8.

who would you cut? We aren't playing Bazley and Kenrich was playing less minutes before we got several injuries. I'm not ready to give up on Mann yet. I don't think it's worth playing Jaylin that much but we just drafted him.

With the current injury situation:
Shai
Dort
Wiggins
Joe
Giddey
Jalen
Kenrich
Omoruyi
Muscala
I’d play Dort less than 30 minutes and try to stagger him as much as possible around shooters. I’d likely give Muscala more minutes than he’s currently getting. I’m not “giving up” on Mann per se, but he’s worse than Joe and Wiggins right now. He should get opportunities when there are injury and foul problems. Or if Joe/Wiggins struggle. I don’t see star level talent there with Mann, but I do see star potential with Jalen and Giddey. I value the winning experience they’d get more so than the potential spark plug 6th man potential of Mann.
This team is winning more than they should with the lack of defined roles. I think that unless tanking puts you in position to add superstar potential players, you should work towards building winning behaviors asap with your core players. Especially when you already have a bunch of tradeable assets under contract over the next few years.

He’s going to be the first nba player to shatter a backboard on a finger roll.

Park him in the corners. Shoot a short 3, take back cuts, or drive the baseline when the shot clock is running out. This should be his entire halfcourt offensive game.

It would have been nice to look like a somewhat competent up and coming team since we are on national tv but I guess tonight isnt our night.

Honestly, I just want to draft his replacement this year. He’s not the only weakness we have but he’s one of the most likable personalities and stories ever but he drives me crazy when I watch him.
