Easier to spend than acquire FRPs.
We had no shot at Sharpe/Sochan or any other if we had to spend 3 FRPs for Dieng.

I've been watching Jalen Williams highlights. I'm all in. Dude can flat out pass the ball. Some of those looks are reminiscent of Giddey.

Fascinated to see how Holmgren puts on the size he'll need at NBA level, given he is not exactly quick. I don't really see it (but then again I'm just a casual observer).
Really hope they don't live to regret passing up Smith's shooting. A proper stretch four is IMO the biggest hole and essential in any line-up built around Dort, Giddey and SGA.

You all really sweating this 3 first thing. Guys, you know how rich people will go pay full sticker price for a car, and even though they're technically being ripped off it doesn't matter to them in the least because they have more money than they really need? That's us with draft picks right now.

I wonder if Presti is confident to get some assets in the next days with our cap space remaining to make such an overpay...I guess not related.

Denver pick will likely be between 18-22 and if Washington makes the playoff...oh boy this could be ugly for us.

Why they announced that we traded "conditional" FRPs...only because those picks have protection? Doesn't change anything.

Yea everyone been freaking out about how we can use all these picks. Sam seems to consistently be aggressive in drafts with lower value like this one.

Yeap cause of the protection.
I don’t believe we place additional protection on them though .

We spent 30% of our assets, that's not insignificant.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread
Spending two FRPs is OK but Detroit paid ONE FRP to get Duren...they had to take on Kemba but the gap is still huge.

Are you just entirely discounting the possibility that Dieng is actually good? Like, if 2 seasons from now this dude looks like a solid rotation player no one is going to care about these picks.

Also I think your math is off quite a bit there. Coming into tonight we have something like 19 firsts between now and 27.

Is the pick they sent of a higher value compared to ours ?
Surprised we didn’t take on kemba again instead of giving a 3rd first .
