This is the only thread that matters the rest of the season.

If the Roberson injury ends up putting them out of the lottery and they get lucky with the #1 pick does that make PG more or less likely to stay? Russ, PG, Adams and the #1 pick could be a nice core. The question would be if they take Doncic, who is basically a 6'8 PG, or trade down for someone like Miles Bridges while adding more assets. I could see an argument for both.

In the NBA you always take BPA. One superstar means more to winning than several role players.

I’d move back but not that far. Do something similar to what Boston did this year. Maybe you could get Jackson and the Suns pick. That pick could easily be Trae Young/Michael Porter.

What are you talking about? Were we to miss the Playoffs, we'd fall to pick 13th or 14th.

I feel bad saying this but another injury could be really beneficial to our team. Maybe something like a broken toe that causes russ to miss enough games so that we miss the playoffs but George is still convinced to stay. We would be betting on the positive momentum chemistry build so far to be enough for George to re-sign.

Ayton and Bamba are two long and athletic guys Presti would like.

It seems that the jazz are still opting to try to remain competitive and avoid tanking. Burks can do much of what Hood did for them and adding Crowder will really help. I think Snyder will make Crowder look like he did in Boston. The clippers are still solid but I could see them fading. It’s going to be tough to miss the playoffs but it looks more likely than it did before the deadline.

I think George would be more likely to stay if we signed Tim Duncan than if we got the number one pick. Listening to him talk about Melo, it’s pretty clear he’s not a great evaluator of talent.

Kizz gave a hypothetical that is more fun to discuss.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

The new draft format that makes it easier for teams with better records to win it, does that start this year?

Now in 7th place. Only half a game out of 8th, 1 1/2 out of 9th and 2 1/12 ahead of the streaking jazz. Also, only two games out of third.

I like their chances against Orlando. I don't think they fall out of the playoffs for another two weeks. If they lose to Orlando and Dallas I'll start looking at potential draft picks.

Winning must hurt you so much.

You must, because you conveniently disappear during win streaks.

Getting one of them would be great for us in the long run. I heard they're very hard to come by tho.

What for? According to your logic loosing = inferior product and spending your time or money on an inferior product = stupidity and it harms the community in general. That is basically what you told me.

If we were so lucky as to have a chance to get him, I could see Presti liking Bamba.
