this is treading on hot hand theory. what does 'earning shots' mean? i'm ok with russ attacking the rim, maybe a mid range shot if he's feeling it but a pull up three in that situation? that's why our offense remains less evolved than the elite ones in the nba these days. cater too much to this kind of nonsense.
