Yea I agree. I’m still higher on Diallo than Ferguson. He’s threes look like Roberson shooting. Move him and/or grant for something that doesn’t suck.
Which one? I think Diallo's shot looks terrible. He releases it on the way down about half the time.

they both look bad. ferg's shot just looks mechanically inconsistent.

If Patterson is gonna keep being used like this and never get a rhythm I'd look at his market too. Just tried a deal on the trade board.

I think the Morris that would be available would be whichever plays for the Wizards (I cant remember who is who). I doubt Boston moves off Morris or Rozier as they are key parts of their run to the Finals.

I wonder if a Morris and Satoransky for Grant and Ferguson framework makes sense.

Their fans love Sato but he doesn't get a ton of time. I think that's Markieff, who's also paid a bit more. I think Marcus has been better recently but either'd probably be a good upgrade and Sato would be a solid extra creator for them

Yes, start Abrines. For at least 5 games. 10-20, why not? Somebody is going to offer him good money this summer. Either the Thunder know what they have by then, give him some run & love and rejigger the roster to afford him or they will lose him for nothing. He isn't definitely a keeper based on whole history but might be. Use this moment to let him rise or not.

I’m a big Sato fan. I think the ability to have another player who can create offense is always a plus. He’s also a plus shooter (granted not on many attempts).

i guess that by mid-december these figures will be reversed.

TBH I kinda think they stay similar.

Agreed. Wouldn’t surprise me if we were slightly higher on the offensive end though. I expect George to be a little more consistent on average going forward. I think Schroder gets more comfortable and starts playing better as well.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we were as high as 10th in offense. Barring injury, of course.

I think 7th in defense is a little high come mid-December. I’m going to say closer to 10th. We’ve yet to play a lot of games against better competition than Suns, Kings, Clippers. Hornets are basically Clippers of the East.

I want to see how our defense looks versus Denver, San Antonio, Portland, and New Orleans as well as Utah.

Nah we should just continue riding Ferguson as a starter, why would we put our best shooter along Russ and Adams ... :noway:

Glad to see he thinks so highly of Alex.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Interesting to me that he played George at the 4 so much yesterday. Per stats.nba.com, George has been the 4 for 27 minutes this season:

Noel: -2 in 3 minutes
Grant: +4 in 2 minutes
Patterson: -2 in 1 minute
Adams: +20 in 21 minutes

So +20 in 27 minutes. It really sucks that we actually don't have the personel to run these lineups. Westbrook-Abrines-Roberson-George-Adams might be excellent, but Westbrook-Schröder-Abrines is going to get killed defensively more often than not, I fear.
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said

Pretty impressive win considering that PG13 was as bad as you can get on offense in this league and Adams couldn't make a layup all game either. It's so obvious that Abrines needs to play major minutes, this team needs 3 point shooting really badly and he's become a decent defender, hopefully Donovan finally realises this. In this day and age you just can't play a lineup with only one good 3 point shooter for more than a few spot minutes at a time. You can't win consistently with just hustle and athleticism.

Pretty amazing that PG and Russ combined to shoot 0-13 on 3 pointers and Ferguson once again contributes pretty much nothing with 0 points in 18 minutes (and nothing that remotely resembles somebody that belongs in the NBA) yet they still pulled out a win. This team has a ton of potential if they can collectively raise their offensive basketball IQ in terms of shot selection and start playing the correct personnel, although I've been saying that same thing for years now and it never seems to happen. Westbrook is an absolute beast even though he gets so out of control at times. He took over that game like MJ used to do. Might also be Abrines' coming out party. He's improved massively on defense and now is able to create his own offense off the dribble. They have to get him more minutes...

Abrines showed at the moment when Batum pressed him up hard some really improved handles.
He can be really really good for us, but I dont believe in Donovan nor the staff ...
