I doubt a trade would be accepted by their fans on the trade board but I could see GarPax making a trade for someone like Schroder. Bulls are in need of a pg and although Schroder probably isn’t the facilitator their fans want, I could see something based around that and taking back Felicio’s deal. Throw in Denver’s pick if needed. If Dennis finishes the season strong, I think his value around the league will be much higher than it is in the realgm world. I don’t see Sam throwing multiple picks at Markkanen if he isn’t sending out bad salary. Probably more like Bulls fire Boylen than trade Markkanen but if I were a Bulls fan, their FO would have me nervous.

Schroeder + Denver 1st for Felicio and Markkanen sounds like fair value. Not sure Chicago would be so interested in getting Schroeder though (small upgrade over Sato based on this season only).

Like I said, it’s not a trade that it would take to the trade board but it’s the kind of trade opportunity that I think Sam is waiting for. The bulls’ front office is one of those that I think would be foolish enough to think Schroder will be an all star as a starter. To be fair, if this really is the player Dennis is for the next several years, the value really isn’t as far off as it was 6 months ago. If it came down to it and a better pick than Denver’s was needed to get the deal done, I would probably do it. Markkanen isn’t a Ben Simmons level prospect that I would throw tons of assets at to acquire, but I do like him.

I think that's an over pay. Schroder has been sooooo good!

Schroder could walk in free agency so I think the late first gives Chicago some reassurance of something more than a rental. But hey, if Sam can pull it off without it, then who am I to negotiate?

Schroeder playing really well but still not a starting PG on a playoff team. Well maybe if he was playing in Dallas but that's it.

Having positive value and contenders like the Lakers looking at him is already a great thing compared to some months ago.

Schroder is a younger version Lou Williams role except he can defend. He said he wants to be a starter but I don’t think he’s best suited for that. I think the way we are using him is maximizing his abilities.

Schroder should start for the Thunder. I wouldn't be surprised if he was with the starters in the first playoff game.

He has played a really good brand of basketball.

If I am the Thunder I would seriously consider extending him this off season.

it won't happen, but adding Evan Turner to take up these Diallo / Nader minutes would be nice to have

Adams contract has been worse and he is a pointless player... I’ll take a 26 year old who is an amazing shooter for a few mil a year less, if it were possible

Adams terrible contract as an expiring isn't such a problem. We could get some value for him next year. Not sure Buddy Hield's contract has positive trade value.

You think a team will trade something of any substance to take on $27m for a useless player at the deadline next year?

Buddy is a bucket, that has plenty of value in the NBA especially at 27 years old and his total yearly salary going down over the years I believe

Getting Tyler Cook for Vince Edwards in G league might be ok, if they want a traditional PF and are willing to test him in NBA. Otherwise it is just background noise.

I think I mentioned Tyler Cook as a possible target somewhere a few days / weeks ago. Or I at least passed by his name during research. I doubt he is the answer but it says something about where they are looking. And maybe "not". Edwards was a SG prospect.

Could Cook play center? I might look further.

Any interest in Cousins as a rental? Will he play this season?
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

If he was going to be playing this seasons the Lakers would be keeping him over Markieff

I figured they might have had that covered with AD, Dwight and Javalle not knowing how Cousins will be coming off injury.

He might get taxpayer's mle. Maybe up to non-taxpayer mle. Hornets, Clippers, Blazers, GSW might be most likely.

Years maybe an issue. He probably seeks 2 plus or 1 plus 1 with the option being his. Teams might go for 3 years at a low rate and / or with team option. Or just 1-2 yrs.

He is mildly interesting. Getting better but still below average impact yr and career to date.

Thunder? Probably won't bid or won't bid enough to win. Unless Adams is moved.

Actually there is already a rumors Markkanen is unhappy into Bulls.
Joe Cowley tweeted early February if Bulls can't make serious management and coaching changes this off season
Markkanen is not staying to Chicago.

Getting rid of Cristiano Felicio would be like a lottery win for Bulls.
Felicio is absolute garbage and he'll be out of NBA immediately when his contract is expired.

Sounds like Galinari understands the value of Thunder potentially bidding high and / or bidding against no one or almost no one.

Sign n do a Paul George or just a regular sign n trade.
