Kizz was right. It was all Westbrook's fault. Adams will average 40% on 3's, Schroeder will play Tony Allen kind of defense and we will win the championship.

Muscala looks like a 2k created player and moved like a total spazz.

Looks like a team about on par with the Mavs or Kings of the last few years. Fiesty but ultimately lacking in sufficient firepower to amount to anything.

I'd be happy to settle for the type of season the Mavs had last year. Competitive with exciting young talent but ultimately finish within the lottery.

Yeah not necessarily a bad thing. Should be at least semi watchable.

Ferg and bazley have looked good. Diallo has looked bad.

Also, 2nd half has had a LOT less ball and player movement. Not that surprising with the guys playing though.

oh well it's a great first game overall. SGA looking great, Ferg and Bazley looking good (Bazley has a lot to learn but I'm starting to like him).

Ferg is noticeably thicker.

Nader annoys me.

My TV isn't the biggest in the world so forgive me if this seems off, but I swear everytime I looked up and saw Baze I thought we'd signed Wesley Johnson.

I don’t think it’s an overreaction to say Bazley has Lebrons skills in Kevin Durant’s body.

I know we rolled out our A-Squad for the first half and played the Mavs C-Squad, but there seems to be a lot of encouraging things to take away from tonight's game. Especially with SGA and Bazley.

Granted, all I have to go off of is the boxscore since I didn't watch.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Have a feeling we’ll see a few different starting lineups in preseason, with Ferg ultimately starting in regular season until Dre is healthy. Know they’ve pushed Ferg to work on handling it more, and putting him more with the backups in this game gives him that chance.

Starting Schroder made sense tonight if you're going to commit to playing the point guards together this season. Gives you a chance to see what they look like in a game where they weren't all going to play enough minutes to get to the lineup otherwise.

Russ was Russ tonight. 1-6 from three. I'm sure D'Antoni is excited about how that is going to look all season.

I had to look up the box score because I thought this had to be a joke. 6 threes in a preseason game? Nope. There it is in the box score. 1 of 6 in 21 minutes played. I'm inclined to say 'its just preseason who cares' but under the circumstances, the player, his past, the discussion around his questionable fit in Houston, that line is sort of appalling. The old Russ 'I'll show you' mentality at its worst.
