Pick n°6 is bad and Orlando has 5+8 to offer so I have no idea how we could beat that offer. Only remote chance would be if a team like Cleveland is looking to trade for a star and need a lot of picks.

I have kinda reset my expectations to finding a Mikal Bridges like impact player in this draft while becoming more open to acquiring Simmons.

Same. If Simmons is worth something like 6+18, we still have 15 FRPs until 2026 to surround SGA & SImmons with stars/good players.

Read on Twitter

Watched a few games from this tournament, and no doubt Wembanyama is the best prospect going forward. Despite being quite a bit younger than everyone else playing - born in 2004, all team USA players were born in 2002 - he really stood out. Even though he can't play in the NBA for 2 more years I bet Presti would take him at #6 right now if it was an option

Assuming we use one of our picks on a complete boom or bust type guy, who is everyone’s guy that you like and at what pick?

Feels like Kuminga or Barnes could fit that in a way at 6 but I'm really not sure how I feel on either just yet.

18 maybe Zaire Williams? But not sure if I'm really interested or not. Not sure if he counts but I like Garuba in general no matter the case.

At least for the 1st round, and even there I'd rather other guys. Kind of not big on boom/bust players.

Edited: Not sure I like Bouknight at 6 the more I think about it.

Think I'm starting to like Jared Butler or Springer a bit more too in the mid first. I'm ready to dislike at least 1 pick made but there are a lot of players who I'd be pretty happy with.

Think Kuminga's pretty boom or bust, but if we're going outside the consensus top 6 then I'd say Jalen Johnson @ 6. He's got the size, skill, and pedigree, and I think the issues at Duke were overblown by Coach K's PR machine.

Outside of that I'd take a shot at Ziaire at 16/18, and Neemias Queta if we moved up to the end of the 1st round.

Wasserman said that Springer did everything he did last year on a bad ankle. If that’s the case, he seems to be a guy you have to take at 16.

Butler has the medical issues, and as a result could fall to early 2nd.

I like springer too. He feels pretty safe. If what Dn4sty is true about the ankle, I am a lot more intrigued.

I want to like Jalen Johnson. I need to do more research. Seems like a guy that’s a reach at 6 but won’t be there at 16.

Definitely a reach at 6, but I'm just holding out hope that we trade up high enough to get one of him, Moody, or Wagner at this point. That group is 7-9 for me, Moody and Wagner both seem pretty safe bets to at least be solid role players.

At this point, it’s only fair that someone good falls to us. We got hosed in the draft and with micic. It’s time for something to to go our way.

Know I mentioned him before, but Wagner is someone I'd be really interested in. Every time I try to do a little bit of digging for information I feel like I come back feeling stronger about it.

Haven't really seen his form so much, but in general he's pretty efficient at what he's asked to do. And seems to be a strong team defender. I can't remember if it was you or someone else who just said it a day or two ago, but I keep thinking Mikal Bridges.

I signed up for a month of synergy stats and his were pretty impressive. If anyone's interested in seeing them for any players let me know and I can post some images later when I get back.

I know they will likely consolidate and move up, but I can’t help but think that you could draft something like this

6 - Bouknight
16 - Springer
18 - Garuba
34 - Vrenz
36 - Thor

And then just move on from Svi, Bradley, Deck, Roby, etc…

Finding a Bridges type player would be a home run in this draft considering how the lottery turned out. Moody could also be that guy IMO.
