Russ wanted out of there. Probably afraid of what he might say to Anderson if forced to spend more time around him.

Because they were going to start fouling and you want your best FT shooters on the floor.

Of course, Randy the FT-God.

So even in the two games where our defense was suspect combined with Dallas making quite a few tough shots, we still win by 11 and 14. That speaks to the talent discrepancy more than anything, but still. And Dallas needed Durant and Westbrook to shoot a combined 15/55 and turn the ball over 11 times to eek out a one point win in their lone victory.

Fun game. A bit odd at times. I hope Kanter is not out for long, although he looked like i did when i cracked my rib and almost punctured my lung.
Waiters is looking good in the POs so far, Kanter is looking good, Foye, Payne, Morrow, everyone looks like theyre doing their jobs.
Except Ibaka, but whatever. As long as he shows up for the Spurs im okay.

Durant still wasn't great but he was definitely good. But 11/24 from the field and 3/11 from three still leaves a lot to be desired. But 33 pionts on 24 shots is still efficient.

A lone victory that should not surprise anyone or that we should be ashamed of.
Personally speaking, i dont mind losing a single game to a HOF coach w/a roster of great role players and an old Dirk.

More I think of it Anderson plays a lot like Pat Bev. Classic hate him on their team love him on your team sort of guy. Hope he didn't seriously hurt Kanter. Him coming back to the bench was a good sign.

We won, but i still feel like ****.

Just horrific defense the past 3 games. I thought they turned a corner after game 1, but i was wrong. Just awful, pitiful, and pathetic defense. No excuse for this garbage.

Not really. It just means its not a medical emergency. I guess it means his lung is not punctured.
But he probably told them to wrap him up so he could go out on the bench and be with the team while they won.

ESPN really rushed their headline for their front page after the game:

Obviously we play the Spurs in the second round, not the Clippers/Blazers winner.

And Durant scored 33 points, not 30.

I thinkt hey exited the series after game 1 and started to focus on the spurs. Which luckily didnt turn out worse for us.

I also thought the little piece about Donovan during.. near half time i think, was interesting and telling about the start of the series. And if Donovan can some how manage to bring that do or die emotion to each game, it could be very effective.

Game one is already set for Saturday. I was under the impression that round two couldn't start until round one was completely over.

And game two, on Monday, is set for an 8:30 start time. That should be fun. Game won't be over until 11:00 or later, and I have to wake up at 6:00 on Tuesday morning...and I've got to have some wind down/stew time after Thunder games which means I won't be asleep until midnight or later.

As long as the two teams are ready to go, they try to get them on the court and not give them too much rest.

I think this is the case. They smacked them in the first game and knew they'd win the series no matter what. It's always been about effort with this time, all season long. Of course we didn't look spectacular against them, but we still beat them and that's all that counts at this points. +18.4 NetRtG with Durant having the worst series of his career and Dirk turning back the clock several times: I'll take that.

But don't get me wrong: In order to have a shot against the Spurs, we have to take our game to the next level.

Good win! Although I felt it was a little too close during some of our stretches of bad offense and defense. Not enough movement as we´ve seen it before...

Thunder have to stay 100 % focussed to stand a chance against this Spurs team!

I still believe they´ve got the potential to win it in 7 against SAS!

#Thunder Up!
