A win @ Utah and the 2 seed is a real possibility

Only 1 1/2 games back of the 2 right now and Kirilenko is going to be out for Tuesdays game which most likely means Durant will have a HUGE game. If we win @ Utah, there is a real shot we could end up with the 2. Let's say we beat Utah(which is probably 60/40 in our favor)

Denver W
Phoenix W
@ Golden State W
@ Portland L
Memphis W

This is the most likely scenario imo

That would put us at 53-29 with a division record of 11-5. We would automatically have the tie breaker over Dallas(due to division record), PHX(h2h record), and Utah(h2h). Denver is going to finish 11-5 in the division as well(if we beat them) and they would own the conference record tie-break meaning we need to go undefeated or they would need to lose 3 of their last 5.

@ OKC
LAL
SAS
Memphis
@ Phoenix

I would bet they lose at least 3 of these games

Dallas has by far the easiest schedule
Memphis
@ Portland
@ Sacrament
@ LAC
San Antonio

But anything can happen

Finally we play Utah and Phoenix and they both play each other as well with PHX playing Denver the last game of the season. If we win out we're a lock for the 3 seed and the 2 is very possible. If we go 5-1 the 3 seed is very likely and with an outside shot at the 2. Guys this team is very young and anything can happen, but if someone upsets the Lakers this team could go deep if they transition well into the playoffs; Which they should given the way we play D and have a legit top 3 player in the league in Durant.

Actually, if we finish better than Denver and at least a tied with Utah, then we are 3rd place.

For that to happen, Denver would have to lose 3 out of their last 5 games (at OKC, vs LAL, vs SAS, vs Mem, at Pho) which could easily happen with their schedule.

Meanwhile, Utah would have to lose 2 out of their last 5 (vs OKC, at Hou, at NOH, at GSW, vs Pho)

But most importantly, the Thunder need to go 5-1, meaning they need to, I mean NEED TO win the next two games at Utah and vs Den.

Would be awesome, but realistically a 5th or 6th seed has a much much bigger chance.
However, it all depends on OKC. If they win 5 or 6 then the chance are pretty darn good, if they win only 4, then there is basically no chance to go higher than 5th.
If they lose more, than even the 6th seed could be in jeopardy.

Its all open!

Beating Denver at home would certainly not be an upset.
The Nuggets are not that good on the road and our record is almost the same.
In fact, OKC will be favoured to win that game.

The game at Utah is much toughter if you ask me...

The Nuggets are pretty much toast. Without Karl that team has gone up in flames.

Won't the Denver game be the third game in four nights? It'll be tough.

I read some where that we have 8 games in 12 days. I hope we get to play April 18th instead of the 17th when the first round starts. That would give us 3 days off after our game vs Memphis on the 14th. Those 3 days would be beneficial after 8 in 12.

Denver at home is not easy even if they miss George Karl. They'll hopefully miss Martin too and Johan Petro will help us out.

Nene kills us inside and Arron Afflalo can play good defense against Durant. Not an easy game at all if you ask me.

But Thunder are at home, not the Nuggets.

I really like Thabo, but actually Im not a "Thabo fan" or anything, its more incidental that he is swiss or that he plays for the Thunder....well, you get it.

No, but now that you say, it would be more than logical for me becoming a Thabo fan :D

I'm from Switzerland too. I've never been a thabo fan but since he joined the thunder last year i've become a huge thabo fan.
