He did earn it. "D" doesn't really give you a tangible box score but they guy was a star defensively.

He slowed down considerably toward the end of the season but he earned the benefit of the doubt with his defense up to the All Star break. He played a ton of minutes this year, more than he ever played, so he probably got hurt / worn out.
Well deserved.. his defense was vitally important early in the year when our offense was bottom quarter of the league bad.
