He joins Kobe, Wade, LeBron, and Howard. Pretty much the best players in the NBA.

Shaq, Duncan, LeBron off the top of my head. Think that's it.
LeBron made 2nd team at 20 years old, youngest to make an All NBA team I believe.

Re: Durant makes First team All-NBA !
I just checked out Duncan, he made the All-NBA First Team in his Rookie season. Amazing!!!
Kinda shows for me that 1. of course how good of a player he is/was but 2. also, that the NBA was much weaker at that time. It was kindof a low point for the NBA after Jordan left the Bulls. It was climbed back up the hill with the LeBron draft class (Wade, Bosh, Melo, etc.)
However, back to Duncan, he was born on 25th of April 1976 and his rookie season ended in 1998.
If they anounced the All-NBA First Team that same time as this year, than that would mean that Duncan was already 22 years old
That would leave Shaq, LeBron and Durant as the only ones who made it at 21.
But it needs to be checked out, thats not a fact.

Hey wait! Shaq made the First Team 1997-1998 for the first time!!!
He was 27-28 years old already!
Who said he made it at 21???
Now I need to check out LeBron

LeBron made it in 2005-2006 and was born on 30th December 1984, so yeah, he was 21 when he made it.
So now its LeBron and Durant...anyone else?

Well Duncan spent fours years at Wake so he didn't make it at 21 Shaq was drafted in 1992 but didn't make 1st team until 1998.
Spencer Haywood came out early but I think he might have made it at 22 or 23. And Moses Malone is a possibility but I need to head to work so I'm not sure. His third year in the league he had 19pts and 15rebs but only played in 59 games so I don't know if he made it.

Tim Duncan was 21 years old on February 1st of his rookie season, which is how the NBA accounts this stuff. So he was considered 21 when he won All NBA 1st Team his rookie year. Of course Durant was some months younger if you want to get technical about it.
Haywood and Malone were both 22 when they made one.
I was wrong about Shaq as Eddie said.
So it's Durant, LeBron, and Duncan as far as I can tell.

Re: Durant makes First team All-NBA !
February 1st? How did the NBA come up with that date to count?
Well, whatever, I'm sure you're right.
BTW, I believe that LeBron and Durant will have big big battles in their careers regarding both championships and MVP titles.
I think those two players will (LeBron already has somehow) from the rest of the stars like Wade, Melo, Howard, etc.
I think both of them will win at least 2-2 titles and from now on counting 2-2 MVP titles.

Re: Durant makes First team All-NBA !
Well, if you think about it, winning an award for the season, it makes sense to take the age the player was during the bulk of the season they won it rather than what their age is at the time the award is given out. I think that's the logic.
