I think the Thunder should change their strategy for next season, I dont think they should Trade Green, because he is also Durants best friend
this is what I think they should do
Durant=38 mins per game, 25 at sf, 13 at sg
Green= 38 mins per game, 23 mins at sf, 15 mins at pf
Harden= 35 mins per game, 25 mins at sg, 10 mins at pg
Westbrook= 38 mins per game, ALL at pg
so we have Thabo Sefolosha and Erick Maynor as the odd people out, having Durant, Green, Westbrook, Harden all share this court time, means the Thunder will have both great offensive and defensive threats on the court at the same time

Doesn't work.
Presti just re-signed Thabo through 2014. Thabo just "EARNED" 2nd team defensive honors.
Maynor has shown he is a capable back up.
You just simply want to cut Thabo and Maynor out of the mix? Sorry but it is unrealistic.
Green is a nice player but he doesn't need 38 minutes a night. He doesn't deserve 38 minutes a night. He should get about 30 minutes.
I posted this in the small tweaking thread. If the roster stands as is for next season this is what I'd like to see.
Durant 40 minutes (28 at SF and 12 at PF yes at PF)
Ibaka 32 minutes (26 at PF and 6 at C)
Green 30 minutes (20 at SF and 10 at PF)
Kyrstic and Collison splitting the 42 minutes left at center which is just shy of what they do now.
Harden 28 minutes
Thabo 20 minutes
Westbrook 36 minutes
Maynor 12 minutes
Krystic and Collison are up in the air depending on what happens with free agency and the draft.
I think Durant can play SG but with Thabo and Harden there we have no need for him at SG, unless an injury happens.
At this point I want to see Durant add more mass and develop a post game. Once he gets stronger and is able to establish low post position he is going to be unstoppable.
Green deserves a Lamar Odom role. He still gets 30 minutes a night and he plays both PF and SF.
Serge is the guy who obviously deserves more minutes. He is going to be a beast.
Hey Slick who is the genius that said at the beginning of the year before the draft that Serge had a realistic chance at being the best rookie on this team even though others laughed me off?
Remember when people said he couldn't shoot? That was awesome!

Re: The use of Jeff Green, Durant, Harden, Westbrook
Hey, I'm happy to be wrong about Serge. Never would have thought he'd have the kind of impact that he's had already. Even when the guy was drafted I think I compared him to Olimude Oyedeji. Shows how much I know.
If our roster stays the same, I like this rotation:
C: Krstic 22 / Collison 24 / Ibaka 4
PF: Ibaka 28 / Green 20
SF: Durant 38 / Green 10
SG: Harden 32 / Sefolosha 16
PG: Westbrook 35 / Maynor 13
We give up a little on perimeter defense with Harden in for Sefolosha but pick up a lot of rebounding clout with Ibaka in for Green and interior size. Green can play PF with the second unit primarily, where he should be more successful.
I think Sefolosha needs to be benched unless he either gets his 3pt percentage up a bit or Serge Ibaka demonstrates enough on offense to offset Thabo's lack of contributions on that end. Otherwise, I'd like to see Harden start. Harden needs more minutes though, and I think he'll earn them, that takes minutes from Thabo unless you want to play small with Durant at PF and Ibaka at C (taking minutes from Krstic and Collison).
I didn't even look at your rotations wiff before posting that and they seem similar.
I don't expect our roster to stay exactly the same.

Re: The use of Jeff Green, Durant, Harden, Westbrook
I agree, this could work out.
I mean, Serge at starting PF and Green coming from the bench for 30 minutes.
However, I dont like Krstic as our starting C.
Collison is good at backup, but we need someone who can fill the starting C spot.
Krstic is ok on a mediocre team as a starting center, but not for a contending one.
PS: Luc Longley was different, he had Jordan-Pippen-Rodman

I like Slick's rotation. I'd bring Harden off the bench so that he's on the floor whenever Maynor's out there. And I'd have him close out games too, so he'd still get 30-32 minutes. The second unit needs an offensive spark and Harden could be that guy.

^ Agreed. Have Sefalosha start the game and be aggressive on D to wear down the opposing team's best wing player. Have Harden receive the bulk of the minutes / closing games, essentially making Harden into the next Ginobili. He has the skills to do it, and it provides the second unit with a go to scorer along with Green, since Maynor seems to be afraid to take his own shot way too much.

Westbrook
Harden
Durant
Green
Lee
can anyone say finals?

Unfortunately, no. As much as I like Lee, having an undersized C that isn't known for his D would make the Thunder a great regular season team, but no better in the playoffs. I fear they would essentially be the 10-11 season's Mavs.
