Luke Babbitt

What do you guys think of him? Have you seen that guy play?
I believe he would be a nice pick at 21. He could be a backup for Durant at SF and he is a very good 3pt shooter.

I think Jeff Green is the backup @ SF. Who can he guard? Not the 4 and i do not think he can guard any 3 in the league. He is a libality defensively.

Babbitt is nearly the same size as Jeff Green coming into the draft. I like his skill level, especially his ability to shoot the ball and I think he's a better shot creator than Jeff Green at a similar age. He comes off as a smart player, gives you the feeling he'll find away to succeed despite some athletic limitations.

I think he'll ultimately get most of his minutes at power forward, he'll have to gain some strength to get regular rotation minutes, but I would be intrigued with a 3 forward lineup of Durant, Green and Babbitt in certain situations.

I envision him as a hybrid of Matt Bonner and Ilyasova. I think there is a place for him in the league and I don't think that a team would regret drafting him at 21 or later.

When I posted this, Luke Babbitt was listed at 21 actually in the mock draft on www.nbadraft.net
Right now he is at 8th. Wonder where he will go...
