NBA Draft Day Discussion 06/24/10

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Thu Jun 24, 2010 1:10 pm

The draft has arrived! We've already had one trade and rumors of more discussions to move up. In the interest in less clutter please keep all Draft talk in this thread. Thank you!

Well we've heard of Presti trying to move up to 10, then 11, and now Johnathan Givony (DX) says they are talking to Memphis and Toronto (12 and 13). Sounds like we're trying to get ahead of the Rockets, maybe for Aldrich? I can't believe this is all for Gordon Hayward.

Should be an exciting night.

I can't wait. I hope we move up but if not I have confidence in Presti making the right decision.

How would people feel about Pleiss at 18th? Seems awfully high for him.

I'm starting to think that's what's going to happen unless someone slips to #18 unexpectedly.

Presti drafted Ibaka at 19 two years ago and left him in Europe for a year. Pleiss fits the mold of what Presti likes in a PF/C. It could happen, but Pleiss has stated he wants to play in Europe (Spanish League) for another year before coming to the NBA, so there wouldn't be much to look forward to next season.

I'm maintaining Alabi is not the center in Presti's plans in this draft.

DraftExpress is reporting the rumored trade with Indiana to move up to 10 might be back on. The guess is for Aldrich, but I don't think anyone really knows who Presti wants at 10.

Don Nelson loves power forwards who can handle the ball. He made a difference at Baylor.

Can't believe Udoh went sixth. That's nuts.

Can we safely assume Presti isn't getting Hayward after he was drafted by Utah?
