Robin Lopez

Post#1 » by wiff » Mon Oct 4, 2010 9:39 pm

So the other brother is pretty solid.

I'm wondering what kind of disposable package the Thunder could give up to get him.

What would you give up for him?

Cole and Thabo?

Cole and DJ White?

Thabo and Mullens?

What do you think the other brother is valued at?

Does a pick need to be thrown in?

Wouldnt do anything till we see Cole on court Im expecting him to be far better than Robin. His brother on the other hand would be a different matter.

Wiffler, in your Wally Walker is drunk on a barstool thread, you said the Blunder were set at center for the next 10 years. What happened?

Fitting av, btw.

I think Cole should be a decent player. I just think he is kind of a tool. There is a video out there that rubs me the wrong way a bit.

I think Robin Lopez is funny and I think he is going to end up being a very good center.

Not like Shaq good, but like Robert Parish good. Plus I was just curious about his value.

You must mean a different, non-Hall of Famer Robert Parish.

I wouldn't want Lopez anyway until we know what Cole Aldrich can do. It'd be kind of dumb to make a lateral move like that right now.

If Aldrich turns out to be Samuel Dalembert 2.0 that would be a great edition IMO

8, 9, and 2 would be a fantastic edition

Robinho is awesome though, you seen those Nash commercials?

I'm probably one of the few who would like to see a trade like this go down. Lopez is fearless on the boards and can provide some real discomfort for legit bigs. I love his team-oriented attitude as well, one which would mesh perfectly with the tightness of the Thunder.

I mean the 14pts and 9reb Robert Parish. The career numbers he retired with. However I don't think Lopez would hit 19pts and 10rebs. Like Parish was during his Boston days.

I don't think Lopez will play 20 years either. But I think 14pts and 9 rebs is reachable for RoLo.

I don't think you'd get the Suns to part way with Robin. He had a huge impact on their run last season (their record improved amssively when he became fulltime starter) as he's the only defensive big they've got.

That said, i don't think he'd be a fit with you guys - like his brother, Robin isn't a great rebounder. I know you're a good rebounding team, but Aldrich has looked like a better rebounder so far, and I think it's entirely feasible he turns into the current Robin Lopez + 2rpg e..g 8/10/2 per 36.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.
