Brooks stated after the Detroit game that Aldrich didn't see any minutes in the first two games because of match ups. Apparently although he was drafted to provide a physical presence that seemed to be lacking on the team, Brooks strategy is not to play him until the Thunder play bigger front courts.

Brooks admitted that Aldrich is still learning the system and generally how to play in the league like all rookies, but that Aldrich has been solid in practice.

Currently Brooks has chosen to only substitute one big man into the rotation in the first two games, with Serge Ibaka.

Rumor has it, Brooks having spent his career as a third string point guard constantly touts the value of a player sitting on the bench for extended parts of his career as a key ingredient of individual growth with playing time coming only as a result of injuries to others. Brooks feels that this path was how he came up through the league and if it was good enough for him then surely it's good enough for this generation of players.

As a raptors fan, I was definately high on what Cole brings to the table. I hope he finds solid minutes in your rotation in the near future because he'll definately boost the defensive intensity. You guys must be jones'n to see him get minutes, eh?
