Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Portland Trailblazers 11/12/2010

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Fri Nov 12, 2010 3:59 pm

As lackluster the start of this season has been, a win tonight over Portland would be huge and guarantee at least a tiebreaker with them should the division race come down to that.

Jeff Green will be out once again and Serge Ibaka will start in his place.

Brandon Roy's knee is a question mark. I'm reading that he will play, but he hasn't looked the same.

It will be an interesting start to the game since Serge Ibaka will start on LaMarcus Aldridge, hopefully stemming that flow unlike our previous game against Portland.

Minutes could be an issue as Scott Brooks has not been one to extend his rotation with these injuries. We saw a lot of Thabo Sefolosha at PF against the Sixers. That strategy probably won't work against Portland. Cole Aldrich will have to give the team some solid minutes if we're going to win this one.

Ibaka is going to dominate Aldridge. Aldridge hates contact and will back down like Nonad did against Big Sofo.

Ibaka totally took Aldridge out of his game once he started to body up against him last game.

I'm expecting a season low for Aldridge tonight since Green is out and Ibaka will be getting minutes.

As far as Roy goes? I love it. Portland signs the dude to a max contract knowing full well the dude is injury proned and has had a bad wheel since his days at U of W.

And since the beginning of the season he has had his knee drained twice and now he wants to become jump shooter.

And people wanted me to become a Portland fan after my Sonics left.

It's hard to cheer for stupidity.

I bet they are glad they got rid of Bayless to make Rudy happy. Man the hits just keep on rolling. LOL

Did you know that they drafted Oden instead of Durant? God I'm about to pass out from lack of oxagen from laughing so hard.

Easy win. Durant will have a hot shooting night on his way to 30+ points while Westbrook, Ibaka and Harden all score in double digits as well.

The Northwest should be ashamed of the franchise that's representing them right now.

Im pessimistic (or realistic?) as hell as well.
I think Portland is playing way better then the Thunder so far.
Maybe Aldrich can have an impact on this game, I really wish he could get 20 quality minutes and do well without foul trouble.

I know right!! When i was still a sonics fan, half my friends was a sonics fan till they chosse portland. Now look what happen! They pick Oden over Durant! We got him when he was a sonics. Then the team was change into Thunders. Now look what happen! Mane i love my team right now. Thank you Sam P! THANK YOU WE LOVVVVE YOOOOOOOOOOU!

Any ways i hope Cole will get some good minutes. And as for IBAKA! I would love to see him score 15 poinys, grab 10 rebs, 2 blk. And i hope Harden score some more. Its going to be a good game today.

Offense looking very nice so far this game. Defense is ok, Portland is hitting their shots, but I have nothing big to complain about thus far :)
Way to go Thunder! Finally some smart play, good energy, etc. Ibaka looking good as staring PF.

James Harden with a nice offensive board and corner three. Unfortunately got beat off the dribble by Rudy **** Fernandez on the other side.

Defensive struggles continue. At least Harden seems to have found his stroke from deep.

This was probably one of the worst defensive quarters this team has played this season. Just completely undisciplined. The repeated biting on Andre Miller's fakes underscores how unfocused and seemingly uncaring the team is on defense.

These guys have to find some motivation to play well on both ends and find it quick. I'm getting really impatient with the quality of play.

WHY??????

How can a coach **** up a game this fast? Brooks goes small ball with Maynor, Wesbrook, Harden, KD and Ibaka and Portland can do WHATEVER they want on offense and we cant buy a bucket.
Suddenly, from a 3 point lead it goes to -9.
WTF???

Man, such a shame Rudy got that 3rd foul. Harden and Westbrook were abusing him.

Mane i was all excited when i thought Ibaka is going to take the PF, and Cole is going to get some minutes. Now Maynor playing the 2 or 3? Right now i'm really piss off. I just order some pizza with some big soda on the side. Now my day is not going so well...

And can some body please explain to me whats Scoot brooks small-ball is!?
