Jason Thompson

The Hawks declined a trade for Jeff Teague for Jason Thompson. The Thunder could probally have Jason Thompson for Eric Maynor. Would you make that deal? Big men are always more valued than guards. But, I just dont see the room on the roster (but Green, Kristic, and Collison are all free agents next season) for Thompson, plus he might not be a good locker room fit.

Please add thoughts on Thompson's game.

I say we get him. Right now we going to lose green soon. And as for Jason Thompson game, hes really a good low-post kind of guy. He sucks at defense but hes quite ok on his game. But yeah we should get him. You never know if IBAKA will get injured. But i don't know if OKC really wants this guy. Hey he can be a steal but you will never know.

I'm 50/50 on Thompson. I don't think he's a great scorer, he takes a lot of mid range jumpers and doesn't have the 3PT shot Jeff Green has. His value to the Thunder over Green would be size and rebounding ability.

I'd probably trade Jeff Green for Thompson. Maynor for Thompson could work but we'd have to find another backup PG and it'd be tough to find minutes for Thompson without giving up a front court player.

Not the biggest Jason Thompson fan but Maynor for Thompson? In a heartbeat.

He is a Power Forward right? Trade ID #5735823 works.

We could probally swing a deal for TJ Ford on Indiana for MoPete. It saves the Pacers about a million bucks. N' helps them get rid of a disgruntled Ford.

Don't get me wron I like Maynor but, a skilled big man is more valuable than a backup up point guard. Eric Bledsoe would be nice to have right about now.

Yes he is a PF/C guy. But more like a PF. And yes i agree i would trade Maynor for Jason in a heartbeat! But it looks like Sam ain't interest in him... Would be a good up though.

Why Thompson when we have Ibaka? Brooks just needs to start Ibaka. Problem solved.

Agree. JT didn't improve as mucu as expected in the past 2 seasons. I won't trade Maynor or Green for JT since we don't need this kind of PF who may not have a higher ceiling than Ibaka, or solid defense as Collison.
