I know that I for one had bitter feelings towards OKC initially, but that's all history now.
Here is the comment which triggered this thread [note: said poster seems to be a troll, he posts this image: http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz157/SoonerTech/SIS.jpg in many threads relating to the Sonics.

Not sure if serious.
Most OKC fans had nothing negative at all to say about seattle. It was the butt hurt seattle fans who wanted to call OKC "hick town" and "cow town" and other ****. That is the reason why I don't feel sorry at all for seattle or their fans. If the fans are mad at david stern and the owner of the thunder, that's highly understandable. But when these cry baby asstards have nothing but negative to say about a city they have never been is what makes people from OKC resent seattle fans.
Yeah, I get that. But even a guy like me, who is generally more level-headed than the rest, found it very hard to like OKC after what had happened. Does it make sense? No. Is it justifiable? No. But is it understandable? Yes.
Why? Because noone knew what the **** to do. There was nothing that we could do, and out of frustration, I wouldn't be surprised if many people don't like OKC even till today. Why is this? Because they are idiots, for the most part. Given all that, I don't encourage the chiding of SEA fans by OKC fans. Why? Because look at where you guys are.
You guys (basketball fans) got everything you wanted in what seemed to be like a dream come true persay. Noone really deserves a team more than someone else persay, given that both want it. But it is definitely a greater misfortune for a city to lose a team, especially one with a rich history as the sonics, than it is the good fortune of a city to gain one. Thats it. You guys got extremely lucky. People say that SEA doesn't "deserve" a team, but that's sure as hell not true. I don't rank on you guys for having a team, it's not that we "deserve" it more than you, but if your gaining a team is at the expense of removing a team that was once an integral part of the City's culture, then I think it is better that things remain status quo.
GIven all this, that's why, if I were an OKC fan, I wouldn't hate SEA fans, I would rather feel empathetic towards them. If I were in as exciting/amazing a situation as the OKC fans were in the recently, I would have at least made the minimal effort to understand from where they got this miracle from, and at the very least acknowledge what it entailed. Look, our City officials cheated us. It's that plain and simple (although it really isn't). We can't/couldn't do anything about it.
Growing up in WA as an immigrant, basketball was an integral part of my family's life. SEA isn't the most lively place in the world in Winter time and basketball gave me some excitement to look forward to during the time. Then 2008 happened. I was like WTF. I went to the rallies and whatever, but they had no avail. That was one of the most depressing times of my life. Actually, a lot of us were pretty depressed.
Then they announce that not only will they take away the team from the city, but they will also take away it's history. That really got to me. How many of you were there screaming like crazy in the SEA-CHI series? What right do you guys have to the history which the SEA fans played an integral part in? Then OKC fans on message boards and such were all tooting their horns, adding insult to injury, talking about how their team was a championship team etc.
On top of all this the Thunder (Sonics) are doing well. You guys have a top 5 player in the league in Durant and have a good team with a lot of young talent. This further frustrates Seattle fans. It's not that we necessarily wished ill upon you persay, but it's that that could have been us. Steve Ballmer was already willing to give upwards of 185 million for the renovations of the arena, which is more than half it's costs. In the end, the city wasn't persistent enough and that GM was able to move the team to OKC. And it wasn't he did it clean, there was some pretty unscrupulous things that he did along the way.
In the end, I don't really know where I am going with this. That's how a lot of us feel whenever we try to express our feelings at the aftermath, because whatever we do/say can't change anything. But if there is anything that I want to say, any point that I want to make, it is that OKC fans should at least make the minimal effort to appreciate what the team meant to Seattle, and the Sonicsgate film is a very good medium to do so. And once they have understood that, they shouldn't try to claim ownership of the Sonic history which is rightfully Seattle's. It's like 1-2 hours dude. Can you do that for us? Or is that too much to ask?
I actually believed him, that he had nothing against Seattle, but a lot of his posts show otherwise (a good portion of his 4X posts)...
