Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves 11/22/2010

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Mon Nov 22, 2010 6:16 pm

Trap game.

According to Darnell Mayberry, Kevin Durant and Jeff Green will return to the starting lineup tonight. The last time both of them played we lost to the Spurs at home. Tonight won't be as tough a matchup.

I'm sure I like others are disappointed Ibaka won't continue to start, as well as he has played.

It will be interesting to see if the defensive intensity we've seen from the team the last couple games will be apparent with Green / Durant back in, and the likes of White, Ivey, etc. back to the bench.

First key is going to be making sure that we out rebound Love. From there it is going to be important to keep up the kind of ball movement we had on Saturday.

I would really like to take this streak up another game before Dallas and NOLA show up. Decent December schedule ahead should help us move up or at least solidify our spot.

I am going to be pissed if Durant is not showing defensive hustle all game. He has had plenty of rest the past week no excuses for him.

We have a good thing going, don't ruin it KD and Green.

Thunder are 4-3 at home so far, so its time to improve that home record tonight a bit.
This is a must win with a healthy lineup against the weak Wolves.
No room for a letdown.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

The defensive intensity of the last few games had everything to do with KD going out, but not because he singlehandedly destroys the defense. The team knew that without Durant/Green they couldn't outscore their opponents, so they HAD to make it a low scoring game.

It'll be interesting to see if the team relaxes on defense now that Durant's back.

Why else would there be Collison or Duncan debates all the time?

Beasley meets his old friend Durant with his new crew. Beasley currently on a 6 game 25+ pts streak, I wonder who you guys will put on him?

Defense looks incredible aside from Green who is getting raped by Love..why the hell is he starting over Ibaka again?

If Ibaka were in the Wolves would've been scoreless.

Scott Brooks is an alcoholic. It's the only thing that makes sense.

I just don't know how he preaches defense and then starts Green at PF you'd have to be blind not to see what a liability he is as a big

Let's see if Love can abuse Ibaka like he just did Green. My guess is no....no he can't

Minnesota shooting 52% early on. They're at about 42% for the year. Defense does not look the same off screens and such.
