Westbrook is forcing the shots

Why is Westbrook forcing so many shot attempts lately? they are not even good shots most of them. I am afraid that his dwindling pt avg is getting to his head, I hope this isn't going to a chemistry thing like Marbury wants to be the man with Garnett back in the 90's

He got a taste of what its like to be the man and it seems he liked it. Can he send this team surging? Of course he can but he has to know that this team is in Durants hand first and foremost. We know that Brooks got this team to come together, now we have to see if he can get them centered once again.

You may have a point that Westbrook is pressing to be "the man" so to speak.

Or you could say that in Westbrook's young career consistency has always been the element that his game is missing.

Westbrook was playing so incredibly well the first part of the season a dip in play was bound to happen.

I think Westbrook is wise enough to know where his bread is buttered. He can rack up a ton of dimes with 35 finding his stroke.

I'd much rather have Westbrook average 18pts and 9dimes than 26pts and 5dimes.

The season is young, let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill.

By the way, what's up with all the OKC threads you have been posting. Yes we have been paying attention.

If you guys read Bill Simmons articles, he may have been spot on with his analogy of a Barksdale/Stringer Bell(from The Wire) situation regarding Durant-Westbrook. With Durant being injured/struggling earlier in the season, it was fine for him to impose himself a bit more. Now with the best scorer in the league having found his stroke this past month, there really is no reason for 2 of his teammates to be taking more shots and freezing him out of the game.

Regarding Green, the blame has to fall squarely on Brooks for:
a) playing him so many minutes
b) not yanking him when he is stinking up the court & killing the team's rhythm

Harden looks to be coming along nicely, and seems to have learnt some of KD's tricks to getting to the line, he should be getting more burn and inheriting some of Green's possessions.
