*Slick I know there is a trade thread at the top, just thought this deserved its own topic*
Who and where can we get to play C for us via trade?
A spitball idea i'd like to throw out there is Brendan Haywood. The Mavs will likely make a move because Butler is down. Green would be amazing for them. I dont think they would mind a rental of Green with the way they have been playihng. I am no saying straight up maybe a third team would need to get involved but I think its a solid base for something.
Another one I'd like to chase is Dalembert. Since Cousins is playing alot better lately the Kings have been playing Dalembert small minutes. I think he logged 6 mins the other night (no foul trouble) He' rebounds and blocks at high levels. Might be just the guy we need to play beside Ibaka in the front court.
I personally would love a M Gasol or someone like that but that simply is not happening. BUT if we pursue one of these guys that are currently second string C's capable of playing starter minutes I think we just might get what we're looking for?
Thoughts?

Re: Lets do this again
The only center trade that makes most sense is the Dalembert trade. But i would love for them to package a deal with Dalembert + Jason Thompson for Jeff Green + Clippers pick + Dj White or Eric Maynor would be a nice deal. Or we can wait till FA starts so Thunders can go after M Gasol..

Nene if Melo gets delt. Nene has a player option for next season.

Re: Lets do this again
I was high on Brendan Haywood last year, and still think he'd be a nice player for us, but he got a ton of money from Dallas and I don't think he's going to live up to that contract. He had a good season last year in his contract year but has regressed some. He's not a particularly great rebounder and he won't do anything for us offensively. I'd pass on his price tag.
Samuel Dalembert is intriguing. He's not playing very well in his reserve role for Sacramento, but historically he's been an excellent rebounder, especially on the defensive boards. I think there's no doubt a guy like Sammy would help our defense and rebounding. The concern with him is his very low BBIQ. I don't know what it would take to acquire him from Sacramento, but I wouldn't give them any significant assets since Dalembert is an expiring himself.
The guy I want right now is Anderson Varejao. I think he's the perfect kind of front court player for this team.

I'll suggest Camby for the umpteenth time. Camby/Mills and one of a 1st rdr or Babbit or E Williams for Maynor/Green/Mo Pete

Re: Lets do this again
I just don't see how they can keep rolling Jeff Green out there starting at the four. I want him to be a 6th man.
But if he gets traded I hope someone nice is coming back. But looking as is with all the players in contract it seems like the Thunder are trying to find a big man. Mullen, Aldrich and Pleiss. That's three bigs in three years. Even after the drafts of Swift, Petro and Sene. It's about time this teams lands a legit Center.
That being said I want Ibaka to start. He impacts the game in more useful ways than Green for this team. Simply put Ibaka is just better. No fault of Green's I can see the dude working but Ibaka is just better.
And last year the bench played really well when Nick, Serge, and Harden were on the floor with Westbrook and Durant. Why not mix it up some and just start that line up and bring Green, Thabo and Nenad off the bench.
Ibaka and Harden both deserve to be on the floor and last year that line up was successful. Let Nick play next to Ibaka.
I have always like Nick. He isn't a top tier guy but I really like what he brings to the team. And really last year he was our best big. I'm not sure I can say he is still the best but he is better than Nenad in my opinion and that's who's place he would be taking.
Now if they do make a move, Presti could hit a huge home run with all the assets he has on hand.
Harden along with Green, DJ White, Mullens, Aldrich, Peterson's expiring, Nenad expiring That's a lot to work with. throw in the Clippers pick that could be huge.
Now if a center was indeed coming back.
Marc Gasol would be nice, Brooks Lopez would work for me if New Jersey isn't thrilled with him. I can't really imagine giving up on the kid though. I'd love to get Noah. If only Presti would have drafted Noah and not Green we would be set.
But more than a Center I want Ibaka to play PF. Give the kid the reigns. He has a chance to be a very dominating player. I love the 15footer he is hitting.

Re: Lets do this again
Players that can be had are probably Kaman, Dalembert, Varejao, Haywood, Nene, Biedrins, Okafor, Mohammed , Blatche.
Nene is the best fit by far, but he's availability depends highly on Melo situation. Nene and Harrington for green, Aldrich, some other assets and picks?
Varejao is another great fit, but Cleveland wants a lot for him, maybe they'd settle for Green and pick at the deadline? I think frontcourt scoring might be a big problem with Varejao, Ibaka, Collison rotation.
Biedrins is very average right now, not a spectacular rebounder, average defender, bad offensive player, terrible at free throws
Kaman is nonexistent this year, which should mean he's very cheap and can be had for aldrich, expirings, pick? At that price you have to take him.
Okafor would be ok as defender, rebounder, but has a big contract and might be expensive. Doubt he's all that much better then Collison.
Dalembert is probably a real good option - krstic, morrison, pick? Doubt it would take aldrich or maynor
Best solution is probably still Bogut, perfect fit on defense, solid enough on the offensive end, but has concerns with injuries and free throws. Bucks are really struggling, so they might entertain a solid rebuilding package. is Presti prepared to throw Harden, Aldrich, expirings, picks for Bogut and a bad contract, probably Maggette?

Bucks see Bogut as untouchable !
If Mayo is not dealt , we have a chance @ M.Gasol.
K.Love would be a great asset , he just said he want to win NOW !
For now our options are very low, maybe snatch McGee. I`d like McGee for this young squad !

This looks like a pretty legitimate option to me...
