Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Washington Wizards 01/28/2011

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Fri Jan 28, 2011 10:25 pm

Thabo Sefolosha will miss this game with a sprained knee, James Harden will start in his place.

The Wizards haven't won on the road this season, and the Thunder have been a decent home team. Should be a win. But I guess you never know.

Durant and Westbrook need to man up and play some defense. They don't even look interested.

Durant playing very lazy defense, not closing out on Rashard twice. Russ playing bad PnR defense, Russ and KD rushing offense; Harden on the floor and zero plays run for him, zero passes out to him.

Selfish basketball... this team reminds me of the mid 00's Wizards team more and more.

I still don't understand why Cook gets minutes

he gets jeff green treatment in terms of impact to minutes ratio

Ivey should be in, he shoots better and plays defense. Cook is just a horrible NBA player. Grant Long is saying on the broadcast whenever Cook comes in 'get him the ball' or 'get him shots'. Ridiculous.

How many set plays did the Thunder run in this quarter? Five turnovers? Wizards with zero turnovers.

Very lackluster effort. Especially from Durant / Westbrook. Westbrook got to the line a bunch getting bailed out but neither of them seemed much interested in getting their teammates involved or in playing defense.

Harden still not back in as Nick Young hits another jump shot on Cook.

Our coach is a complete dunce.

WOW!!! Cook is a great shooter and he has only played in like 10 games all season. He has been inactive since the first 2 weeks of the season. Cook stroke looks like its coming back and he gave the thunder good mintues. They were down 12 and when he was in the game, the score was made closer.

I love when cook gets in the game because defenses can't just pile up on RW and Durant like they do when Thabo is in the game. It is time for the thunder to see if cook can be the floor stretcher that ever good team needs when the playoffs come.

Cook played terrible defense on Nick Young, he had 6 points on 5 FGA (nothing special), and is otherwise invisible.

Watching this team play is like watching my nephew play NBA 2k11. Pointless movement and constant isolations.

Thats more than thabo gets in a full game. Thabo hasn't been the stopper this year that he was last year either.

green bailed out on that foul...brooks says he needs a great defensive quarter...so he leaves green in at pf...makes perfect sense.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't think that brooks is a big fan of Harden and Ibaka because both of them are turning out to be better than his starters (Green and Thabo) . You can tell that he is trying to hold them back but it is just a matter of time. He did not play the whole 3rd qtr while jeff green played the whole quarter.

KD and Russ have the worst shot selection.

ibaka back out...short leash.

it's nice to see green can mess up time and time again though and suffer no repercussions.

Yep...

I thought we'd win a frustrating game, and I think we will, but watching how undisciplined this team plays really makes me annoyed.
