10 Games till the Trade Deadline...

Do the Thunder pull off a trade?

Yes! They bring in a center that will finish games.

They make a deal, but it is nothing to get too excited about.

Nope. Thunder stay steady, and leave it to Jaff Green to be the difference maker.

10 Games till the Trade Deadline...

Post#1 » by Balkman32 » Sat Jan 29, 2011 5:44 pm

What does everyone think will the hinder pull the trigger? If they do do they fill theneed for a center to finish games, that puts Ibaka, Green, or Harden on the bench? Or do the Thunder make another one sided deal to save another teams cap room.

Presti stands pat until the new CBA gets worked out that way the Thunder can see where they stand with the new cap and don't shoot themselves in the foot financially by making a move for today when they need to set themselves up for the long run.

They could make a move for C today but does that really push them into legit title contender this season?

I think they hold their cards, because once the CBA gets worked out they should still be in the drivers seat with all their players.

It's not like they will lose Jeff Green to free agency if they don't trade him in the next couple of weeks.

I'd like to see a move but, I just don't see it happening. I hope I'm wrong.

I think they are legit condensers today. But, for the thunder to beat LA, And the Spurs we need to add a Center. Maybe no move is the right move, but Aldrich will have to contribute.

I totally agree with this. Presti is in no big rush. He can win 55 games this year with the team he has and be a 4 or 5 seed in playoffs so i think he holds onto his players. The only move I could see is a signing of Dalembert if he gets waived. I think that the thunder will give Green every chance to prove himself because it is clear after last night that Brooks has no confidence in Ibaka.

Or maybe we might all be fooled and the Thunder a really shopping Green hard, giving him every chance to be a hero. But I doubt it.

That made no sense to me last night. But a lot of what is going on right now doesn't make much sense to me.

They're not giving him the shots to be on hero mode attempt. Unless your're talking strictly buzzer beater.

Don't see any Center that would be nice here (either offensive or defensive) available. While i think the only chips that might be moved are DJ White/Mo Pete.

I would like to see Gortat in an OKC uniform by the end of the deadline.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

For his 5m salary, he'll be a very expensive project.

edit: With Cook improved play, i dont think we'll make any move, short term needs for 3 pointer threat covered by Harden/Cook/Durant for this season.

Sad that this probably means lesser minutes for Harden, unless this will result in lower minutes for Durant/Green instead. It's time to keep Durant fresher abit.
