Hey - I'm a die hard Kings fan and with them on the verge of moving to another destination (I honestly think we only have a 10 to 15% chance of retaining them in Sac), I had to ask this question: Will I still be a fan of this team?

Are any of you guys old Sonic Fans that now root for the Thunder? If so, did it take awhile to start rooting for them? I just want some of your takes on it...

I'm pretty much addicted to hoop.

This is the way I view the Seattle situation. The biggest villain was Howard Shultz. He ultimately sold the team to an out of state buyer. Now I'm not a fan of Bennett because he simply didn't want to keep the team in Seattle and he didn't really make any sort of effort in trying to keep the team there.

But for me I am big fan of the players. Now the only players who are still on the team are Nick Collison and Kevin Durant. But over the course of time you attach yourself to guys like Serge Ibaka, Westbrook, Harden, Maynor.

But ya I was pissed for a while. I live about 300 miles away from Seattle now though. So I only went to maybe 3 games a year. So yeah it sucks that I can't go to the games but I only went to a handful anyway.

I also live about 300 miles from Portland, so I will be in the stands during the April 1st wearing my Sonics Durant T-Shirt. And no that isn't an April fools joke you Portland morons! So in theory I can still see my team twice a year of course they will always be playing Portland, and not the Bulls or 76ers or the Heat or whoever I want to go watch. I'm stuck seeing the Blazers. Which is far less than ideal. But hey those are the breaks for not having an extra 450mil in my bank account when there was talk about building a new arena in Seattle.

Yeah and were stuck having to hear about the Sea-chickens and Mariners for half the year, that's not quite ideal either.

I'm on the fence, because emotionally I don't know which way I'll go. I can't see myself rooting for another NBA team, I guess the Warriors would be the most likely scenerio (I'm fans of 2 other bay area teams), but I hate that team. But I also can't seeing myself root for a Maloof-owned team if they take the Kings out of Sacramento. I'd almost rather they have a Sonic-Thunder ownership change and move.

I grew up a Knicks fan. I could not take the bull let's trade for a star every 3 years. The thunder have been an awesome team to follow. League pass is wonderfull it let's u watch any team in the country. Plus u can go to their road games if u live close to any team in the NBA. OKC has really embraced the team n' w/ the addition of Perk makes this team a legit contender. **** Durant is a top 10 talent and Westbrook is the man. Watch this team on Sunday. It is exciting and refreshing watching a star like Durant!
