aldrich will continue to get spot minutes as he develops. he's shown some good flashes lately. he'll be a solid backup center down the line I think. mullens, I think about everyone has given up on.

I think it is in okc's plans to definitely hold on to aldrich. they couldn't get fair value for him in a trade because he isn't getting a lot of minutes.

Zaza Pachulia and a 2nd RD pick or two..

Same roles,Zaza is bigger and can do similar things on the offensive end maybe more, just lacks hops to block shots.Cole could add some muscle and maybe we develop him for our starting Center and be a low post scorer

we would need more value than that. Z
Cole value is probably at a low level and if nothing else, he'll be quite cheap ona rookie scale. If we can get Nazr to come back, that's 6 additional foul. Nobody the hawks consider movable would interest us i guess.

Mullens could be had for sure, i'm not really sure what presti might look for, perhaps a 3/4 that can spread the floor? A real floor spreader though.

I don't think Cole will ever be a consistent low post scorer.

I think any young center value to the hawks is that they can move Horford+Smith 1 position down.
If they ever need low post scorer, horford can always do it.

If there's anyteam that's willing to take Marvin williams, they can make a move for a decent center.

Horford as a low post scorer is like telling Bargnani to rebound.

Mullens is going to the scrap heap, but Cole might have value to the Thunder as a cheap backup to Perkins for the next several seasons. I don't think he'll be traded.

Mohammed is expiring and 33.

Aldrich is long term plan and he's a valuable player.

Horford has to suffice with whatever post move he got. You guys already had enough scorer around. I role playing rebounding/defensive big man make more sense than a low post threat. Especially when a low post threat that could be had are like undersized PF.

Nazr is 33 but we do need some vet exp. If mullens is not part of the plan he'll be 2/3 C

I think that the thunder will hold onto Cole. I can't say the same for mullens. If mohammed signs a 1 year extention or doesn't resign then Mullens becomes valuable because you need 3 centers to compete in the West. Mullens will have some value to the thunder in the terms of a late 1st round or 2nd round pick if they decide to trade him. Mullens may not be what everyone expected but he is a 7 footer and they always have a spot on someones team in the NBA. The thunder don't like to give up on there picks so I expect them to give Mullens the same opportunity they gave DJ White and Kyle Weaver.

Mullens will have atleast 1 , maybe even 2 years left with the thunder before they try to trade him but all that depends on Aldrich , mohammed, perkins and Pliess . If these guys develop, Mullens could be the odd man out but he will find another place to play in the NBA.

If Brooks not going to play him and if presti don't believe mullens will be at best a backup, might be worth trying to see what we can get for mullens, he can't go to the dleague next season already if im not wrong.

Even with Perkins/Aldrich the only comfirmed center on our roster, brooks play too much smallball anyway that he'll probably fit in collison/ibaka at center before playing mullens.

Sixers fan here. Is Mullens really a lost cause? Such a shame a talent like him didn't develop.

there is no way someone is trading a late 1st for mullens.

yeah you can get a for sure second if he can't get minutes and he isn't developing in the D-LEAGUE,which he can't go back to says one guy. No use in keeping him unless he just accepts an "End of the Bench" role.

What is Mullens good at? Is he a good low post defender? shot blocker? Why don't they play him enough minutes? I ask because the Knicks gave Mogzev a few chances and he has shown potential to be a very good center one day, but they traded him to the Nuggets. Just wondering if the Thunder play Mullens enough, he might get a breakout game and be 'discovered' sort of speak.

the problem with mullens is just that he has a very poor feel for the game. it's too bad because he has a lot of talent. he also has great size and a decent jump shot. he was probably worth the gamble at that pick, but it just didn't pan out. hopefully he can go somewhere else and get some minutes. dj white has flourished since he was traded. I think most okc fans always knew white was a solid player though, just couldn't break into the rotation. can't say the same thing about mullens.
