Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Portland Trailblazers 03/27/2010

Tough home game. The Blazers have played well and their lineup change will create some weird matchups. They are starting Wallace at PF and Aldridge at C. This will pit Ibaka against Wallace and Perkins against Aldridge. Both matchups seem like an advantage for Portland to me, unless Ibaka / Perkins do some work on the boards.

Should be fun, but it's a Sunday game. So beware.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a bunch of small ball considering Portland's lineup. Should be fine defensively with the smaller line-up, but I just hope it doesn't feature Thabo.

well you play small ball either way unless the listed heights are erroneous. your entire active frontline is 6'10. ofcourse durant makes up for it with lenght at sf.

Height isn't important, it's reach (wingspan) and mass that are important.

both Perk and Ibaka are 6'10", but their wingspan and standing reach are very good.

OKC, Monday through Saturday: 43-15
OKC, Sunday: 4-9

But Portland is only 3-6 on Sunday as well.

This is our first real test in a while since the Miami game. I see us losing this one, hopefully this gives the team a wakeup call before the playoffs start.

Call me a homer but I think OKC wins tonight at home and in Portland next Friday. I just think OKC is the better team 1 through 14.

Our number 1 is better than their
Our number 2 is better than theirs and so on.

Plus Ibaka eats LMA lunch just for kicks. LMA is only averaging 16pts against OKC. That's tied for worst compared to his average against the rest of the league.

By the way I will be in Portland next Friday to watch the game. I can't wait.

Is Ibaka going to guard Aldridge? Portland starts him at center with Wallace at PF. I imagine Perkins must guard Aldridge.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ibaka get some minutes on Aldridge considering his success against him in the past. But with Brooks who knows?

I think splitting time between Perkins and Ibaka on LMA would be a decent strategy but hey I'm just a guy in a basketball forum.

Always good to watch a game without having to listen to Brian Davis

Perkins has like as many technicals so far as a Thunder as the rest of the team combined all year.

Or at least it seems like it.
