Is this worth landing Dwight?

Post#1 » by HireIsaiah » Mon Nov 28, 2011 3:59 pm

Hey guys, not a Thunder fan, but really enjoy watching the team play. Is this too much to give to land Dwight. I personally think it is, but would love to see Dwight on the Thunder.

Thunder get: Dwight, Jameer nelson, Brandon Bass.
ORL gets: Westbrook, Harden, Perkins, Nate, Aldrich, Mullens

On one hand, the Thunder are getting arguably the best player in the game , and without a doubt the best big and most dominant down low presence. Nelson can either start or be traded and Maynor can play the point. Bass can be traded as well. The Thunder will still have a first rounder and a MLE + Nelson and Bass as trade chips. durant, Ibaka, Dwight is best froncourt by a mile. On the other, they are giving away 3 starters including two young stars.
Nelson
MLE
Durant
Ibaka
Dwight

Ive seen ideas floating around like Westbrook, Perkins , and 1st rounder for dwight but I don't think would ever go for that. Westbrook might leave next season anyway. This is contingent on Dwight signing an extension.

Nah I rather trade for Al Jefferson, than Dwight. Dwight is worth alot of picks/young players to trade for. And I don't want to lose any of my young core...

If Harden was switched out for Ibaka, I would like it.
Don't want to lose Harden for anyone, unless its just a landslide swap.

I'd do it if it was Harden switched for Ibaka as well PLUS Ryan Anderson instead of Bass.

My trade would be like this:
Westy/Perk/Sefo/Cole Ald/Mullens/Nate(exp)/Ivey(exp) plus maybe 2 first rd draft picks
for
DH/Jameer

I would give Ibaka for Ryan Anderson but only in last case scenario (the luxury tax problem).
Harden hell no! IMO last playoffs he showed that can have great importance in our future.

Okc roster:
Jameer/Maynor/Reggie
Harden/Cook
KD/Battier (FA)
Ibaka or Ryan Anderson/Collison
Dwight/Nazi/Pleiss

Orlando:
RW/Duhon/Nate
JJ Red/Sefo
Turk/QRich
Bass/Ibaka or Anderson
Perk/Cole/Mullens
and the our draft picks
