LAL @ OKC

We're built to beat this team so we should be able to win tonight, but Maynor, Thabo, Collison are out, and Harden is a GT decision. Not entirely confident about this.

I think OKC should be able to run the "Slowtime Lakers"out of the building.

Yup, some of the slopiness on D from the last couple of games wasn't there. Harden did an awesome job on Kobe.

Blew away the Lakers old legs on the fast break.

destroyed the lakers with 3 of our 10 man injured tonight.

There is officially no fear of the Lakers anymore. I'd love to play them in the playoffs. Bynum couldn't do anything to Perkins

i'd love to see the lakers in the playoffs, even if somehow we lose, Harden and Kobe going at it will be worth it.

I wouldn't say that. I think we would win in a 7 game series, but they still have the twin towers, and Bynum and Kobe will have nights where they are hitting their shots.

Kobe will, sure. Bynum I find is worthless against us now that we have Perk.

I guess I shouldn't say worthless, but he's by no means a gamechanger against us.

I get your excitement and all but I hope you realize this probably won't be the Laker team that'll be in the playoffs. Secondly until OKC can prove it can do the same thing in Staples, trust me Laker fans don't fear OKC either. If we can land a decent lead guard and another scorer off the bench....gonna be tough for a lot of teams. Last time I looked we're 14-2 at home with both loses by a combined 3 points. And no loses to any western conference team.

Also I wouldn't be all that high on Perkins against Drew, Drew ate him alive during his last days in Boston and out played him on one leg in the 2010 Finals.

It was the 7th game in 12 days for us, coming off a tough win last night. Props they got us tonight, we'll see how it goes in Staples when Harden or Perkins won't get the benefit of the doubt. And there was no destroying being done....c'mon man you're smarter than that. The game didn't get outta reach until the last 7-6 minutes of the 4th.

But I'll take where we're at considering all the changes in our system and players, with not much of a training camp.

I guess I should have put an * on my statement, assuming that LAL keeps the same roster they have. I obviously can't comment on a Laker team that I don't know exists yet.

On the Staples thing, that's the beauty of our team this year. If we do play in the playoffs we don't have to win in staples, you'll have to win in OKC. We've got the best home record and the best home court advantage in the NBA. I'm not worried at all about staples.

Nice winning streak. Dominate Celtics and Lakers is always good.

I'm also less scared of the Lakers these days. First reason is because of who is on the sideline. Phil Jackson presented a huge advantage for LAL particularly against a young team like ours - remember him getting into it with Kevin Durant through the media? Little things like that can unhinge an emotionally charged team, and Mike Brown isn't that kind of coach. Also, I think they will be heavily reliant on Kobe in the playoffs just like they are in the regular season so far. I don't fear a Laker team with a ~38 USG Kobe Bryant. Maybe he catches fire in the playoffs but at his age and after this year I don't see it - the Lakers aren't going anywhere in the playoffs unless they become more balanced offensively.

Anyway it was a great game. Loved Durant on both ends, liked Harden's toughness, Westbrook looked like he cared on defense. Seems like this team gets up in a whole different way for the Lakers. The offense was brutal at times still, but you could see a different level of intensity IMO. Hope they carry that through the All Star break.

I actually don't think the Lakers are going to be looking much different. I don't think they have the pieces to get Dwight Howard. Let's be real here. Pau Gasol is a very nice player but he is not worth 19mil for the next two years to Orlando. What is Pau going to do in Orlando just put off the inevitable? Orlando needs to gut their team might as well start when Howard leaves the building.

You could trade Bynum but the dude is too brittle to really be considered a franchise player. At least not a very good one.

Maybe the Lakers are going to trade both since they just picked up Rasheed Wallace from the retirement home. But you really think they give up both? I don't.

Then you have the rest of the lot because you know the Lakers aren't going to try to move their franchise player Kobe Bryant along with his 30mil a year contract. That one is going to look good in a year or two. But then you have the one and only Meta World Peace. The dude is a trip. And that is going WAY back to his Chicago days. Hard to remember him in Chicago huh. Next is DFish already let go by the Lakers once for being old and slow is back in the slow motion sequel. And lets see who do I fear more, Mike Brown or Phil Jackson? Need I even bring up the foolishness for trading Lamar for next to nothing because his feelings were hurt?

So bring it on, I look forward to rolling out these "Slowtime Lakers" come playoffs and see if they can out punch "the Kid". I'm betting the Lakers get sent home quick. In fact I'd take a lot of teams over the Lakers this year. Like the Clippers. Maybe even Memphis.
