We get a rematch of the WCF in the first round. Dallas hasn't been playing well all year, but its hard to discount them. I think we win in 6, all 4 wins being hard fought.

Keys are going to be Westbrook and Harden playing excellent. Durant is gonna be Durant. Westbrook has hit a slump compared to what he was doing earlier in the season (24/5/4), but we need that Westbrook to show up and play smart, limiting his turnovers.

Dallas can definitely win this, they're better coached and we have no one to truly limit Dirk. Carter is still a Thunder killer so we need Thabo to keep him in check.

We need someone to make playoff sigs! :)

Dates/Scores
Game 1: 4/28 @ 8:30 on ESPN
Game 2: TBD
Game 3: TBD
Game 4: TBD
Game 5: TBD
Game 6: TBD
Game 7: TBD

Wanted Dallas to play OKC so DIRK could put up nice stats. DIRKs teammates are scrubs though so OKC should advance.

Dirks team mates are scrubs?

Like the first ballot hall of famer J Kidd? Total scrub.

What an ignorant doucher you are.

Anyway IMO if my Mavs are gonna make this series interesting we have to control Westbrook, KD and Harden will get theirs, Westbrook is capable of getting out of control and chucking up shots, though.

Good luck dudes.

(Coming from a Mavs fan) This is NOT the same Dallas team as last year. OKC should win this in 6. The Mavs will put up a fight, but just don't have the inside presence and can't match the athleticism of the Thunder.

-Can we stay committed to our defensive principles and contest every shot?
-Can Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Kevin Durant cohesively run a fluid and efficient offense, especially in crunch time?
-Will Scott Brooks make the right substitutions and call the right timeouts when the team needs it?

those are the 3 keys to this series for us IMO.

2012 Kidd controls tempo and that's about it. He's not the same player as he was 10 years ago. You should realize that.

Good luck on the series guys, it should be a very hard fought series and if I had to choose a team to lose to, it'd be the Thunder.

That being said, let's go mavs!

Ibaka just dominated Dirk on both sides of the ball in game 1. Hopefully he'll keep that up

Is that why he let DIRK score 11 in the 4th?

Ibaka didn't let Dirk do anything, Dirk earned all of his points tonight. Dirk had a good fourth quarter but Ibaka still outplayed him throughout the game. Whenever you can force Dirk into having more turnovers than rebounds while shooting less than 50% and 0% from 3, that's great.

don't know where to start..........

- Dallas played very solid basketball, they are just so composed and smart. They made us play out of synch all night but we hung around and at the end our superstar made a few big plays.

-Got to give BIG props to Westbrook and Ibaka, both those guys carried us all game. Dare i say Ibaka was our best player tonight? Dirk got some points on him, but Ibaka was much better compared to last year, he didn't bite on any of Dirks fakes. Also loved the fact that he went up strong on all of his layups, no more of that soft stuff.

-Durant was pretty terrible all game, yet made 2 huge plays at the end to seal the win. That's what Stars do. Id like to see more rebounding effort from him though. We need it.

-Going forward this is going to be a tough series, I predicted in 6, but it might go 7.

Dirk had 25 pts. Last year it was 40pts. So ya Ibaka contained Dirk about as well as you can hope to. No one is going to completely lock up Dir. But you can make things tough on him and that's just what Ibaka did.

Ibaka played his ass off.

Man, I know I want to play the Mavs, LAL, and SAS in one playoff run but I wouldn't mind a series with the Grizz again. It would be just as amazing as last years series. :D

In truth, you'll find alot of mavs fans will agree that Ibaka did a great job on Dirk. Ahnnoying is not a mavs fan, he's a Dirk fan and a forum troll. Ignoring the idiot is the best advice I can give any thunder fan on this forum as majority of mavs fans have ignored him before he got banned from the mavs forum.

DIRK shot 1 three and missed so him going 0% from 3 isn't really a big deal. DIRK needs to improve his rebounding though.

Ibaka probably did the best he could possibly do against DIRK and DIRK scored 25 on 8-18, which is considered and offnight for him.
