Derek Fisher discusses Lamar Odom
http://espn.go.com/dallas/nba/story/_/id/7891703/derek-fisher-says-former-teammate-lamar-odom-damaged-reputation-season-looking-bounce-back-futureInteresting that Fisher of all people piped up about Odom. Is this perhaps a foreshadowing of the Thunder picking him up in the off-season? Would the Thunder even want him? I would think yes if he could be gotten for peanuts. At least he could be potential insurance incase Ibaka walks at the end of his contract / Thunder let him go in favor of Harden.
Thoughts?

He's just talking about someone he played with i guess. Odom would be nice if he wants to come.

I wouldn't mind him. He'd make our bench more formidable providing he's in the right place mentally. Maynor/Harden/Odom coming off the bench is sweet.

There is something distasteful in the discussion of replacing Ibaka with Odom, especially considering Ibaka is playing his heart out and Odom quit on his team this season.
The nice thing about this team is that it isn't desperate and any team considering signing Odom is going to be at least a little desperate.

It isnt about replacing Ibaka, if the idea is about replacing Ibaka then of course it's a huge no.
I just saw the insurance in case ibaka walks, but when ibaka walks Odom would be pretty old to be more than a stop gap. I foresee him more of replacing Nazr spot with Collison/Ibaka able to slide over to C. He can take up some backup SF minutes too.
There's the question of which Odom is going to turn up as well. If the one from Dallas, we should pass but if the one from lakers he'll be able to improve our bench.

Yes if he signs with us for cheap, and comes off the bench.

we have no use for him, especially with all the distractions he brings(tv show). Not a Presti type move.

Odom is done and is a cancer. OKC won't go for a bum like that.

I doubt it. If you can't get ready to play for a team that just won the championship. Then you cant play for the Thunder!

Moving to a younger team could very well help Odom's motivation. He is a highly skilled player and could provide a lot that we lack in our frontcourt. There is nothing that he does worse than Jeff Green and I'd feel comfortable if I saw Odom being our F sub next season.
He can pass, can create his shots, he stretches the floor, rebounds and be a very good inside scorer, as long as he is motivated.
If he's cheap, I'd sign him tomorrow.

Odom wont want to live in Oklahoma. Previously he sacrificed money to play near a beach while saying as much.

Please take him!!!! Only because it will benefit my Mavs playing for your team. He is the poster boy for why people hate professional sports. He did not even try this year and still got his 10Mil...
