“I cannot demand the ball because I'm not going to be a guy where I'm taking horrible shots and killing our offense,” Martin said. “Everybody else has to play their part because I'm not going to be a guy that brings the ball down every time and try to create something. So with me on the court, a lot of it is going to be in the point guard's hands as well, actually being a point guard.”

How have plays been between Westbrook and Martin?

Kevin Martin is not a young wall flower like James Harden, he's going to talk to Westbrook about not getting the ball, where to get him the ball, and how he wants the ball. Westbrook as we all know can get tunnel vision. Sometimes I feel like he even decides before a play is run if he's going to shoot or not and doesn't read and react to the defense properly.

I've seen much better synergy between Durant and Martin than between Westbrook and Martin. Hopefully that changes.

Not a fan of how he's playing lately. He's trying to be a Reggie Miller/Ray Allen/Rip Hamilton type of player and that's not going to work for two reasons. The first reason is that that's not who he is as a player. I always said that he's a Corey Maggette/Rip Hamilton hybrid. The best part of his game is his ability to attack the rim and get to the line. I have seen very little of that from him and I guess that's understandable because he has guys like Durant and Westbrook on his team who could get to the rim at will. The second reason is that Westbrook isn't the type of guy who's going to run a play for Martin and give Martin the ball in spots where he's effective. The only solution is to let Durant come off the bench instead of Martin. That will allow Martin to be the number two scoring option during the time Durant isn't in and it will force Westbrook to feature him on the offensive end. It will also obviously give them solid scoring off the bench. I know Durant coming off the bench sounds stupid to you guys, but that's the best thing you guys could do at this point if you want all 3 players to be effective.
