Why dont Okc use more different lineups?

Post#1 » by GSP » Mon Jan 14, 2013 10:13 am

They had to change it because 2 players were game time but it showed they has many weapons. Liggins looks like another jewel , PjIII and Lamb look good , Thabeet improved. Why doesnt Okc use more lineups for rotations?

Btw what happened to Maynor? Did Reggie take all his minutes?

Agree.

Need to get Pj3, Lamb, Liggins some burn.

Could play this line up to end the First Q, Second Q

Reggie
Martin
Liggins
Pj3
Hash/Collison

Reggie has taken the reigns of the second unit - Maynor has just been struggling too much with his shot since returning and Reggie has developed nicely.

I think that Liggins, Lamb and PJ3 will all get their time, but Brooks is trying to work Martin in to the rotation this season as well as manage Durant's minutes and Westbrook too. he has already tinkered with his substitute pattern so he is making moves.

At this stage though, I think Lamb and PJ3 especially are benefiting from their D-League stints and will become regular rotation guys next season when we are the defending champs!

Maynor still has some lingering issues from his injury. It was nice of Brooks to finally see that and make the appropriate changes to the rotation.

And mbruty, I honestly don't think Brooks does a good job of managing Durant's minutes. I'm tired of seeing him play for 24 minutes in the 2nd half. Even if the offense goes stagnant without Durant on the field(and it does), I would just live with it and give him a 2-3 minutes of rest.

Liggins is a surprise thus far. Never expect him to produce on the offensive end, but as long as he makes the hustle plays, defends and rebounds, I'm okay with him.

I have 2 issues with our rotation. 1 being KD's minutes, and 2: Lamb needs to get a chance to play. Liggins played some minutes, PJ3 played some minutes, but ever since that Atlanta game Lamb has been nonexistent to Brooks.

I wonder if Lamb's practice performance is not good enough..
