I'm not a OK fan,I'm 110% with the raptors so my following of the Thunder is ,more on a casual basis, but with the recent discussions on the impact of the Harden trade, the thunders future, why have any meant ion of perry Jones 3 and Jeremy lamb just appear when talking about the future of this team?

I'm blown away that a team that already has a contender core establish , that's most dire need is depth( and a replacement for Perkins) has two(soon to be three with the raptors pick) just waiting in the wings,devopling, is not discussed at all. Does any other contending team besides possibly then the warriors ( and putting them as contending may be abit much at the moment) have such a solid future ahead? A established core, with a ton of young talent just waiting to be productive for this team?

Although I can see my raptors in the second round next year, its hard not to be envious of the Thunder.

As a fellow Raptors fan and OKC fan, I can answer that. It's because many people haven't been exposed to them yet. During the draft many people were very excited Perry Jones dropped to OKC. I don't think the average fan really follows the draft when your not in the lottery, and even then most people weren't looking at lottery picks as potential players for OKC (Lamb).

Brooks likes to keep tight rotations, and appearances from both Lamb and Jones have been very limited. It's a different way of thinking when you compare a contending team like OKC and perennial lottery team like Toronto. OKC has a young core that is competing for a championship where a team like the Raptors have to look even further into the future when looking at prospect.

And Raptors aren't making the second round next year and we don't have the young players comparable for what OKC has.

Two projects. Far from finished jobs. Lamb has a interesting scoring skill set and athleticism. Jones has an interesting combination of size, on ball skills and mobility(for his size) and athleticism.

I see Lamb as a potential top10 swingman in the league and Jones as a small ball roleplayer.

I think the last 3 rookies the Thunder have, Reggie, Lamb and PJ3 have potential to be great rotation players(Lamb can be more than that imo).
