The heat just waived mike miller and i think he can be a great veteran fit off the bench for us with some championship experience. He would look great with Reggie, Lamb, and Collison on our 2nd unit.

I would love this so much as a vet min signing. The only reasons I don't see it happening are:
1. Cleveland looks to be making a waiver claim.
2. You know they're gonna sign Fisher, you just know it, just because.

Looks like this may be happening after all!

A really good deal, if it happens, especially since it'd be for the vet minimum.

Closing games with this lineup in the playoffs...

Russ
Reggie
Miller
KD
Serge

That could be a very lethal offensive lineup with good defensive versatility to cover-up Miller's deficiencies on that end.

I just hope this is legit and Presti ultimately pulls the trigger. He wouldn't even be that needed in the regular season. Just need him to be healthy for the playoffs.

I don't understand this front offices infatuation with over the hill players. Outside of being cheap, there's literally nothing to be optimistic about. What little athleticism he had has left him, he is a defensive liability, and he cant stay on the court. I would have rather seen Kevin Martin resigned, or would prefer to embrace the growing pains of PJIII and Lamb than to see the corpse of Mike Miller absorbing minutes he doesn't deserve.

Need to factor in that Orton or maybe Liggins/Thabeet will be waived if this happens, probably means bringing in Fisher as well. I'd like to see how PJ3 goes with some playing time even Roberson. They won't hit the three like Miller does, but may make it up elsewhere.

Like Lamb won't be as effecient as Martin but will out rebound and play better D.

Rebound yeah, defense probably not. His defense is always mentioned as something that needs to improve.

Miller would be a better option than fisher. Rather see Jackson and Sef both play increased minutes than either one though.

I'm not saying Lamb will be a good defender, just a better one than Martin.

I think Gary Neal would be a nice fit with OKC. He's been on a winner and he should come cheap.

Miller is going to Memphis. I don't blame him. Scott Brooks probably wouldnt have given him any minutes over Fisher anyways

And he's going to Memphis. I know it's not an overly attractive destination, but why in the world can we not attract FA's? I mean we've got a better team and brighter future than Memphis, right? Two best 25 and under players in the league, one is the second best player period, and the other is a borderline top 5 player, and he picks Memphis over us? It's got to be a comfort level thing since he's played there before.

He's played there before and he'll have a bigger role on that team. Makes sense.

Doesn't he still have a house in Memphis, too? Pretty sure I read that somewhere a couple of days ago. Kinda figured we were screwed when I saw that.

I'm sorry , but Fish needs to go away from the NBA as a player. He needs to be an assistant coach by now.

One source close to the process told ESPN that Miller, more than anything, chose the Grizzlies because he feels they are closer to getting him back to the NBA Finals than any other team that pursued him, including Oklahoma City. The deal, sources said, likely will be for two years, with Miller possessing a player option entering Year 2.
