Joest2003 and I have a little bet ongoing, highest PPG between Reggie (podirk) and Jeremy (joest) wins.

Who would you take? Reggie or Lamb?

Jackson will likely average more points than Lamb does minutes this year.

Jackson is obvious. Just cuz lamb scored in summer league and against college kids doesn't prove anything. Reggie will be 4th on the team in the scoring... Probably by a wide margin

I truly hope you're right and Jackson scores 15ppg and Lamb 20ppg. But... I think it'll be more like 15 for Reggie and 8-10 for lamb given decent minutes

Considering Reggie spent all 4 years at college and has NBA experience and Lamb left after 2 years in college and has NO NBA experience Reggie should score more but you guys are forgetting hes a PG, id be shocked if he averaged 15 a game. he needs to get his ASSISTS up to be considered a real PG cuz now hes just a small SG. I think Lamb will start slow then eventually get it going towards end of the year and pass Reggie. Thats my opinion and NO ONE is going to change it.

The Thunder, like with Westbrook, don't care about old school positions. Jackson will play both PG and SG at times. His assists do need to climb a little but with more fitting players around him this year, hopefully, he should increase assists.

Jackson is a bad or poor man's Westbrook as I said in the thread about him before. They have very similar playing styles.

Jackson will definitely score more than Lamb, in part due to a lot more minutes. Per-36 should be pretty close though.

Jackson is not Westbrook.....

Jackson is EXACTLY like Westbrook in the context I was speaking in...the PG position. Russ is a scoring PG that gets to the rim and is mediocre from the 3 pt line, a great FT shooter, and an excellent rebounder for a guard. Reggie is exactly that as well..." a scoring PG that gets to the rim and is mediocre from the 3 pt line, a great FT shooter, and an excellent rebounder for a guard."

Russell Westbrook knows how to create for his teammates, Reggie Jackson does not. Russell Westbrook can get into the lane whenever he wants, Reggie Jackson cannot. Russell Westbrook is one of the most disruptive defenders and explosive transition players in the game, neither is true for Jackson. Russell Westbrook has an effective in between game, Reggie Jackson lacks just that.

It is a lazy comparison.

If he could do all those thing it would be a perenial all-nba 2nd team player. The by poor man's Westbrook that means he does a lot of the same things as Westbrook just not as good. He is a pretty good defender. Westbrook gambles a lot so yeah he may be more disruptive but that is not all ways good because he leaves his man open or his caught out of position a lot.

Reggie Jackson averaged around 6 assist per game as a starter in the playoffs despite playing off the ball a lot. I'd say that's creating pretty well for your teammates.

They are both good rebounders.

Between 3 feet and the 3 point line, Jackson averages a higher fg% than Westbrook. The only area Westbrook beat him is from behind the 3 point line. And both are below averaged 3 point shooters.

Both are more of combo guards than true point guards.

Stop trying to compare arguably the most athletic PG in NBA history to a backup.

I fall in line with this guys opinion. Jackson is the default 6th man and it's Lambs to try to steal. If both players work it right they could both be big in the Thunders championship aspirations.

I know its reggies by default I'm just making the prediction lamb will end up as 6th man

They have similar styles but one is better at it because he is incredibly athletic. That's why one is a perennial all-nba player and one isn't. Why one went top 5 overall and why one went in the 20s. To say they don't play similar simply because one is more athletic is dumb.
