Durant Westbrook Sef Perk Ibaka Jackson Lamb Collison Fisher Jones Roberson Adams locks

Thabeet Orton Gomes Garrett McGruder possibly on the outs.

Garrett and McGruder seem the easy outs.

Thabeet and Orton both have portions unguaranteed and the team doesn't need 4 Cs with Collison and Ibaka getting min there as well. I could see Thunder cutting to 14 to keep an open roster spot and options open just in case something opens up around Trade Deadline.

Gomes will probably be the Lazar/Ivey end of the bench vet.

I agree. Despite the 4 center situation being unusual, I don't see Garrett and mcgruder not getting cut... I think after that it would be Orton gone if we go down to 14.

I think it's pretty clear that without westbrook (hopefully not too long) this team needs 3 point shooters to have better spacing. Durant Sef Fish and Lamb at current production aren't cutting it. (and obviously it's preseason...overseas...and preseason).

I think Grant Jerrett might have a real chance at joining the team sooner rather then later, esp if Orton/Thabeet/Gomes gets cut.

Orton waived. What's up with Gomes not getting preseason minute thus far though? Next to go?

Gomes not playing at all is a lil confusing. I really see him on the reg season roster but maybe he is next to go.

I do not think Gomes will make the roster. If he does the Thunder will be over the Lux Tax. Then go into repeat offenders mode in 14-15. Sammy wont let that happen untill the trading deadline and he decides to go All in on an expiring contract. Look for the Thunder to Cut Gomes and add a PG. The thunder could also pull off a trade since they have three trade exceptions (Aldrich, Maynor, and Martin).

I had thought it was a veteran min contract? i think a PG would probably be someone like Daniel Gibson? 3 point shooting and nothing else.

PG and 3 pt shooting for cheap is exactly what the Thunder need...or part of what they need at least.

It's a vet min for 1.18m but only around 900k will count against the cap.

Darnell Mayberry from the Oklahoman tweeting during last nights Blue and White game said Garrett was making 3s and playing well...still a long shot but if Reggie were to get in foul trouble another option at PG...opposed to relying on Fish only.

Just read up on Garrett. Would not be surprised if he made this team.

That's what I keep thinking too...but why not give him any burn? Looks like McGruder even got in yesterday.

Watching Gomes and hopefully Garrett a little tonight.

Tonight could be big for both. Garrett making up for a blah game last time out. And Gomes looking to reproduce his efficiency and engrave his name on the roster.
