Adams >>> Perkins

Just watching the pre-season game against the Pelicans today it is so clear that Adams is already a much better player. He is so much more stronger and longer then Perkins, he is always getting himself in a good position in the lane for the rebound due to his size. He is also extremely active, he was always poking at rebounds and hustling he also has way better hands then Perk. Only thing he lacks behind Perk at this point is experience and IQ but that will come this year if he gets plenty of minutes. Too bad Brooks probably wont barely play him and Perk will get 30 minutes a night.

I agree with everything you wrote, however with Brook's still being the coach for this team, it won't happen. Everybody knows how Brooks loves playing Porkins as his starting center. If only he was fired right now with Perkins being traded.
All Adams needs is more playing time for him to gain experience.

Adams played so well than I expected, the kid was smart on the court and always got to the right position at right time. The way he scored was no pure luck or set up plays but just he played basketball the right way. You wouldn't see Perk or Thabeet or rookie Ibaka did this for the entire season, nor did they accomplish Adams' stats tonight in any preseason game.
Adams kinda reminds me of Blake Griffin in rookie season, knowing how to use his athletic and strong body to contribute on the court. A refined skill set needs time, but these instincts are pure talent. Look at Dwight Howard on the offensive end, Hakeem can teach him footwork but can't give him these instincts.

I was high on him even in high school and wondered why Nerlens Noel was considered a vastly better prospect. His athleticism is the kind that can turn into a very good defender; extremely mobile and a very quick jump. My biggest fear was that the Thunder would nab him because he's absolutely perfect there for now; won't be relied on to score thanks to Durant and Westbrook. At the moment though his biggest flaw for the Thunder, well just Brooks, is that his name isn't Kendrick Perkins.
If he keeps on working his game he'll be the best center in this draft.

He should AT LEAST get all of Thabeet's minutes.

Yeap, he should get that Thabeet minutes, at least some games if not all. Only way for him to get experience for the team to possibly leave us with option to trade or amnesty perkins.

The James Harden for Steven Adams, Jeremy Lamb, and a First Round Pick is looking better and better each day.
A 2014 starting lineup of Adams/ Ibaka/ Durant/ Lamb/ Westbrook, could be in the making.

Expect I don't want Lamb to start. I rather trade Lamb for another guard like Arron Afflalo, or Eric Gordon, and even Anthony Morrow. Anybody that can shoot n defend.

You don't need to trade Lamb to get a player that can shoot and defend. Alan Anderson fills that role and he signed for the minimum. Or the second round is chock full of those kinds of players.

Considering defense and versatility I think Lamb is far better than Morrow, not to mention the potential and prospects. You may think Morrow is a better shooter, then pay more attention to Lamb's cut, transition, rebounding and some occasional play-makings, those you won't see a bit on Morrow.

Abrines could work out someday, if not there's always the 2014 NBA draft for our late first or buy an early second.

He put in some work over the summer developing one (didn't possess it at Pitt) & was hitting jumpers with regularity in a couple pre-draft workout vids, but it might take him some time to get confident enough to start regularly taking them in games. Sooner or later though he'll definitely have it down.

I thought Adams did his schooling in NZ?

He played a semester in Notre Dame. Very very small sample size to go off of, but in that limited time I was very impressed by what he showed off.

Adams played really well vs Noel in that HS match-up, there's highlights on Youtube.
He didn't have a 'great' College career, but to me he's always looked like a better long term Pro than a College player. He's got that massive wingspan, quickness and athleticism to succeed.
I personally think he's Tyson Chandler 2.0 - perfect for you guys. Now just axe Perkins and you're away laughing

Well how much proof does Brooks need for him to start Adams over Perkins? Again another game where Adams completely showed up Perkins.
