Gotta be honest... It's been closer than I thought it would be.

Has anyone else noticed that when Lamb shoots it is either a complete splash beautiful shot or it goes like off the side of the backboard, airballs, etc.? It may just be me, but I feel like almost every time he misses it looks just atrocious and then when he makes it is absolutely beautiful.

Do the two shot styles directly correlate with contested vs open shots? Would be interesting. You can see his confidence building by the game.

Isn't jackson playing with a bad back? One could argue that Lamb is settling in as well though.

I think it has to do with him rushing those shots.

Yeap, everyone a winner if both hit 12PPG minimum.

Concede whenever Joest...I kid I kid. Hoping both guys break it over 10 ppg this week and start growing together as the first two weeks have been full of injuries missing with the lineups.

I think both players can get to 10 ppg by the end of the year. Jackson is at 9.8 now, and ideally Lamb will get more minutes as the season progresses if he keeps shooting well. He's the only player on the team outside of Westbrook and Durant that can create spacing. Him just being out there can open up lanes and opportunity for everyone else. Fisher is 2-14 on the year from 3, Lamb deserves those minutes.

I just gotta say, while not getting to see much NBA outside of box scores over the last few years while in Afghanistan, I've been watching this season intently and have been intrigued by Lamb in a way few players have in my many years as a fan of basketball. I'm a Rockets fan, for the record, and liked Lamb when we picked him up in 2012, and honestly felt the Harden trade was about as good a value OKC could have gotten for him at the time with all the uncertainty about his ability to be the #1 guy post-Finals and all. Martin a short term, efficient replacement, Lamb a long term prospect and draft picks. Looks good to me.

Anyway, back to Lamb. His game isn't anything revolutionary, but I see something in the kid. His length, athleticism, competitiveness on defense, and the humble nature in which he is approaching his minutes while seemingly having more to show under the surface all add up to an insanely intriguing combination to me...and that's not even accounting for his prowess on the offensive end of the floor. I think you guys got a keeper and he's kept me tuning in to all the OKC games thus far...well Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka are decent enough players too, I guess. :)

My $.02, as a Rockets fan and closet OKC fan for some years now as well.

Just to get it current:

Jeremy Lamb - 9.1 (just for fun, PER 14.77)

Reggie Jackson - 9.8 (PER 15.25)

#s per ESPN

Both moving up.

That game was more impressive from Jackson, but there were definitely some moments in there that I was thinking "man... I didn't think Lamb would score like this, this year".

Really glad to see both doing so well. Crazy to think that we could have (from a scoring standpoint) below average game from KD and a historically awful one from Russ and still lead the Spurs almost all game long.

Yeah, I've been impressed not only tonight but in a few of the last four or five games by the way Lamb is scoring. He's starting to slowly show flashes of being able to give a pump fake behind the 3P line, put the ball on the deck, and rise and score from 15-18 feet out. I mean I knew he was capable of doing that, but I wasn't sure he'd do it with much consistency this year.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Joest2003 and I have had the same debate on here, espn, and daily thunder. Usually spurring from debates why lamb should/shouldn't have played last year.

The bet was who has the hight ppg lamb or Jackson
