Damn, this board is so dead. KD is having like a historical season and no one here is talking about it. This boy dropped 54 last week, and 46 last night. What a baller man. I think he got MVP locked up this year foh sure. Call me crazy or whatever but he is the best player in the NBA RIGHT NOW.

A bunch of us are around the general/PC/trade boards, and a lot of OKC fans are on Daily thunder or WTLC on sb nation too. Yep, he's nuts now, its what we're all talking bout in the MVP thread!

Kevin Durant is a PHENOMENAL basketball player, and he is lock in for MVP! But as a OKC fan I'm worried because, Lebron might explode again in mid-season.

I thought the same, but really right now the only thing that would put an explosion from LBJ ahead of KD is recency relative to when MVP voting is. Durant's at 35/7/5 on .658 TS without Westbrook this time, its insane volume and efficiency the NBA hasn't seen in a while.

Its amazing. There aren't any words to describe it. I'm not really concerned with winning or losing right now, I'm just enjoying the ride watching one of the best players of all time play some of the best basketball of all time.

He is clearly playing at above MVP level right now. Meaning not only is he playing at MVP level, but scoring champ, highest off. eff., potential to be highest 3pt percentage, etc.

That all being said, he wont with MVP because Lebron will.
I know this because if KD cannot win MVP when he takes his team from 25 wins to over 50 in one season, in the Western conference (that at the time was leaving 50 win teams out of the play offs) then he will not win it this season.
And then if he cannot win it by being better than Westbrook who was on par with Rose, who won it over KD who made it to the finals, well he clearly wont win it this year.

KD is really freaking good, like better than any scorer ever at any position from any statistical point of view"... what else are you supposed to say? Yay, he's on our team!

I think he'll get MVP if it sticks at a similar stat line to where he and LeBron are currently. The recency bias of LeBron winning a few times and general view of KD's personality (likable) vs LeBron's (the decision....), I think he'll end up getting the nod. But, it should be a fairly narrow race.

Yeah, I find conversation a bit better on here personally, its not as much a "chat room/twitter" sort of thing.

It would be awesome I'd DT got a forum, I visit there everyday to read Royce's posts but like you said, I'm not a fan of the conversation. Too scrambled.

Hope this isn't breaking some sort of rule, and if it is I apologize, but here's a link to a good Thunder message board. It's pretty low traffic, but the regulars post pretty frequently (especially during the season) and it's pretty void of trolls and whatnot.

When it comes down to the 4'th quarter.... just look out for the "slim reaper"..

KD has not only been putting up crazy numbers since Westbrook went down, but along with his increased usage rating, his efficiency numbers have risen as well. That's incredible. Normally a players efficiency rating would decline with increased usage rating.....not for KD though. The guys not human. Everyone expected OKC to drop in standings after RW went down, but we are now at #1 in the West. If Lebron were doing what KD is currently doing, I'm 100% certain the case for MVP would be wrapped up by now with Lebrons name on the MVP trophy...but because it's KD, "i will still be a tight race". A bunch of BS if you ask me.
