Heat fan here I come in peace. Just want to see if any thunder fans here can give some insight into deandre liggins, what type of player he is, style, etc. Etc.
Thanks and good luck!!

Hey man, best of luck to you guys as well. Someone else may be able to help more, but honestly he was mostly a garbage time/end of the game type of player last year. He played mostly in blowouts, and usually didn't play more than 5 minutes. I doubt he'll really get court time w/ you in the POs, but you never know!

From what I remembered hearing about him, he is more of a defensive wing. His outside game is below average, but I remember hearing about him having a good motor on the court and above average defense.
But like Bondom said, he didn't get very much action here.

Liggins played the 2/3 depending on lineups and was a good energy player to throw in at times and it earned him some steadyish min (though few) for a while.
At the level of money he is gonna make his value is well worth it.If he hadn't run into some trouble, he would still be in OKC...and who knows what all that could have affected.

He was pretty solid on D. He had a somewhat inconsistent, but workable corner 3 point shot. And he beat the crap out of his girlfriend with an XBOX. Probably about all you need to know. Lucky for us, the last of those 3 was about all that needed to be known to see if he had a place on the team.

thanks for the responses guys. i see now liggins will most likely be cut in case of caron butler or maybe even granger going to the heat. reason i asked is cause our backup wings have been awful for the most part of the year (battier/ray allen/beasley) well beasley barely plays. i was wondering if liggins could be a spark off the bench but now i see hes just a defensive/hustle guy. which is not a bad thing but not really what the heat need

No problem. He can be a spark from an energy perspective, but he's not going to be like a sparkplug bench scorer kind of guy by any means.

good wing defender, good corner 3, capable of running point.
Overall a scrub for a contending team though.
