Any interest in Westbrook for Rubio and Pek??

Lots of moving parts but some people are saying that Love might agree to tear up his contract if Flip can trade for Westbrook. Would Oklahoma consider a rade of Westbrook in return for both Rubio and Pek.

Nope. Less than zero.
Pek's got injury problems, Rubio's good but not as good as Westbrook. Every time I see this offer I cringe a little.

This trade does get brought up about once/month on here though. That's a lot of cringing!

Yeah, I've always hated it, and it keeps showing up, I just wish it would go away!

Rubio's alright, but he hasn't shown the offensive ability to ever fulfill his pre draft hype. Pek is a really nice center in today's NBA, the NBA that has complete crap at center. A trade for Russ would have to include Love + pieces, and I think pieces would have to include Rubio. Westbrook is a lot more valuable and better than anything on the wolves roster.
Edit: Let's flip this around, would the Wolves be willing to trade Love for Lamb and Ibaka? Of course not (though, tbh I think that's closer than Rubio + Pek for Russ).

edit: Good luck when you enter the forum and read the titles though. Another reminder of Rubio+ Pek.

It would annoy me, but could be a time saver for wolves fans!

I finally figured out this was a typo, but I spent way too long trying to understand this post.

I've already said my opinion on this a lot so I'm not going to go into that again due to the Westbrook fanboys. But one thing to consider that I doubt most OKC fans know is Rubio seems like he has improved scoring wise since the all star break. Raised his fg% from 36% to 42% and ts 48% to 52% while increasing is ppg by 2 as well. Could be sample size or considerable improvement.

Also, doing it would kill some goodwill with Durant as well, as they already traded Harden (his friend), and Russ is really the other guy he's close with. You trade Russ there's a better chance Durant leaves in a few years as well. And though I'll admit I am a fan, I don't thik that everyone who hates this trade is a Westbrook "fanboy". Rubio's shooting in a small sample size at his best isn't as good as Westbrook. Westbrook is locked up long term, Rubio's gonna demand a new contract soon. Pek's locked long term, but is already in his late 20s, injury prone, and high priced. If you're scared of Westbrook's knees (I'm not, but some are), you should be terrified of Pek.

I don't think that everyone who hates the trade is a Westbrook fanboy at all. But a lot of responses to anytrade with Westbrook are "omg, OKC can't trade westbrook." without looking at the trade at all.
I'd be more considered with Westbrook's knee due to the fact knee injuries in sports tend to linger and cause other injuries as well. I don't how you can't be concerned about a player who has had 3 surgeries in the past year and game is based on athleticism.
Rubio+Pek on offense are far more efficient than the Westbrook+Perkins combo. Westbrook is a high volume mediocre to poor efficiency scorer and Perkins is terrible. Pek is a pretty high volume high efficiency scorer and Rubio is low volume poor efficiency scorer. But if Rubio maintains a ts of 52% he is not far from Westbrook in terms of efficiency. I really don't get the logic behind Rubio and Pek are worse offensively than Westbrook and Perkins.
It seems like everyone wants an upgrade from Perkins but doesn't want to trade anything of value to get that upgrade.

Just to point out the injury thing, Pek's missed more time, and having ankle issues is a big deal for a guy with that much weight. Its gotta be a huge concern for that contract. As well, Perk's gone in a year either way, I'd gladly give a pick to dump the contract and get an FA with the money. There's no reason to move Westbrook in all reality, and it just kills some team chemistry as well

.
Westbrook + Perkins (possibly the worst offensive starter in the league) = 1.23 points per shot this year
Rubio + Pek = 1.26
Is .03 points per shot really far more efficient?
Russ + Steven Adams = 1.3 points per shot. If the efficiency is what we're going by we're best just sitting Perkins on the bench and keeping Russ.
On top of that, why are we comparing efficiency of two sets of guys with totally different roles? You're advocating subtracting value from a superstar by putting his numbers alongside a **** offensive player.
And finally, Russ's ts% this year? 54.5% That is nowhere near mediocre to poor efficiency.

Because most of these proposed trades seriously undervalue Westbrook and his role on the Thunder. The reality of the situation is without Westbrook this team is pretty poor, and relies solely on KD being on his game eg throughout January. Its impossible for anyone to play at that level throughout the season let alone into the playoffs and there have been so many cringe worthy losses this year without Westbrook when Durant has had an off game.

Westbrook impact on the game much greater then Rubio's. Rubio can't do the things Russell can
