Ibaka: we've heard that Serge has shown the most improvement this offseason. I have no idea what that could mean. I doubt his hands, passing or post game got significantly better at this point in his career, so the only thing I could think would be he's shooting even better and gotten stronger. Unfortunately we've also heard he's already dealing with some knee soreness and I expect he misses 15+ games this season. He'll still be a great third banana, but I think the 'improvement' statement is smoke.
Mitch: it seems everyone expects him to be the backup PF this season, which puts me in the minority. I think he'll still be third string and look just as good hustling, rebounding and running the floor as he did last year, but Nick has one more season left in him.
Nick: After looking done for 3/4 of a season (and the previous playoffs) Nick came back strong down the stretch last year. I think he's finallyhealthy and his P&R defense is ultimately going to make him the backup one more year. His passing also gives him an advantage now that we have 3 point shooters throughout the roster, and McGary's offensive rebounding isn't as big of a bonus with Kanter providing the same thing.
Novak: some people will complain that's he's a SF, but this is where he got into the games last year. He'll only see the court in blowouts and when we HAVE to have a three. A lineup of DJ, Morrow, Durant, Novak, Ibaka could be fun to watch though, any team ever played 5 out none in?
